I had a wonderful experience at Cantinho da Armação during my stay from February 21-23, 2025. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from Praia da Armação and close to the vibrant center of Búzios, making it easy to explore the local restaurants, shops, and nightlife.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a good night’s rest after a day at the beach. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the common areas were inviting, especially the terrace, which offered a great spot to relax.
What stood out the most was the hospitality. The staff was friendly and helpful, always available to provide recommendations and make sure everything was perfect. Their attention to detail made the stay even more enjoyable. Thanks Agustin!!
Overall, Cantinho da Armação is a great choice for anyone looking for a cozy and well-located place to stay in Búzios. I’ll definitely return!

Sophisticated restaurants, beautiful sandy beaches, nightlife going on till sunrise, all mixed with cosy ‘pousada’ guest houses and luxuriant tropical landscape… Armaçao de Búzios is one of those beautiful Brazilian beach towns where samba and good mood blend perfectly with sun and crystalline waters, opening the doors to a memorable holiday.
The city occupies a peninsula, spanning through hills, beaches, coves, tropical vegetation and charming roads. Of course, there are also plenty hotels and resorts on the beach in Búzios. Follow the central Rua das Pedras cobblestone street and find a mix between colonial architecture, bustling life, and beautiful sea views. Hotels, B&B’s and guest houses in central Búzios are a good option to enjoy the nightlife.
The town became popular in the 60’s, when Brigitte Bardot fell in love with it. A statue of her can be found in the central promenade. The beaches of Ferradura and João Fernandes are popular for their bars and seafood eateries. Armação, and Geribá are well-known surfing spots, while Manguinhos is a windsurfing beach.

Buzios is safe and can take the volume of tourism maybe except at the busiest times like Carnaval. Range and quality of restaurant food is truly excellent, better than Rio. Lots of larger and more cosy beaches to visit. We always stay close to Ossos beach as that area still retains it’s fishing village character. Lots of Argentinians and Uruguayans visit or even work there which makes it more fun if you one can speak Spanish.

Nice and cozy place with sandy beaches and beautiful lakes. Pleasant promenade, Lots of good restaurants, bars and shops. Possibility of a boat trip around the bay. Good Bamboo Buzios Hostel (very good breakfasts with fantastic view of the sea).

The place was totally overcrowded by Spanish-speaking tourists, the prices were sky-rocketing and the value for money was real bad. The beaches were so full, you could not even lie down on the sand. I ordered a Caipirinha on one of the beaches and got food poisoning. It's a total shame how a paradise is being ruined by reckless tourism with no regard of the nature or human well-being. I will never come back.

We loved Búzios!
We loved Búzios! It was very picturesque with beautiful views and beaches. Many many restaurants and bars, live music, art, shopping, etc.
The city had well maintained buildings and roads. We ate dinner in a central seafood restaurant called Valencia something, super tasty fish, shrimp, mussels, and squid. We had breakfast in a Doce Mel Buzios (padaria) with good coffee, juice, and warm sandwishes.
We were only sadded by the fact that we only booked 1 night in Búzios!

The weather could be better. Most of the time it's cloudy, which is great for walking around, but frustrating when you want to spend a day at sea or on the beach.

Lovely place,lots of restaurants and exciting for young people. Safe to walk on the streets and didn't see any beggars as in Rio. Our family of 8 loved it so much that we left Pousada Corsario where we had a bad exerience and stayed another 4 days at the Atlantico Buzios, where we enjoyed our stay.
Selling staff at the shops are friendly and laid back, no pressure. Quality shopping as there are some shooping areas that remind us of Leblon !
It was definitely worth the 3.5 hours transfers, we recommend it.

Pousada Vila do Mar was a truly gem in Búzios. We loved how beautiful and quirky the property was. It gave us real old housing charm in the middle of the city. The plants and overall decoration its great, amazing job from the gardner. The breakfast was also very good and nicely presented. It is a couple of steps away from the main street, the restaurants and shops. We loved our stay!

Everything was amazing the balcony, the location, the breakfast, and especially the staff. Claudio was incredibly helpful, giving us great recommendations for places to visit in Búzios and always being there when we needed anything. The only sad thing was that we had to leave, but we’ll definitely be back!
