A run-down town.

A run-down town. Muddy roads with sinkholes as you go toward the beach. Pockets of private, wealthy housing with guards. Along where we stayed, the beach is too shallow, and there are dangerous currents in places. The town center is Ok with many small shops and eateries, but on the shabby side.

Great beach with nice places to go around if you are driving...

Great beach with nice places to go around if you are driving, examples are: Prainha Branca, Praia do Tombo, Boraceia and Maresias beach, Pão de Açucar grocery store at Riviera de São Lourenço, waterfalls around the area (ask a local), you will have to drive and take the ferry.

Was close to the beach. Very clean. Lovely house, all the cutlery you'll need + TV channels. Garden was lovely. 3rd bathroom outside if needed (best shower in my opinion due to water pressure)
