This hotel is located on a beautiful beach, offering a relaxing coastal vibe. There are a couple of restaurants nearby, though options for a decent supermarket or buffet-style dining are limited. Our room was spacious, with a cozy balcony that provided a lovely sea view. The air conditioning worked well, and the refrigerator was pleasantly quiet. While the shower could have been a bit hotter, it was still serviceable. The reception staff were friendly, helpful, and available 24/7, which made our stay even more comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a good variety of options. One standout feature of the hotel is its inviting common area, equipped with sofas, tables, a kettle, and a coffee maker—perfect for relaxing or socializing. The large balcony area, complete with sun loungers, is ideal for soaking up the sun. Overall, a great spot for a beachside getaway!

The location is superb; it's practically downtown the Rodoviária (bus station) is almost across from the hotel, and it's very near the Mercado Público, where you can go shopping for souvenirs or simply grab a beer. From just outside the lobby, there is a great view of the bay and the lovely Hercílio Luz bridge. Also, they have a collective of restaurants and bars right next door, called Armazém Rita María, which is quite lively and slightly upscale. The staff was quite friendly and helpful.

The location, so close to the beach and easily accessible from the front gate, directly to the end of the street and on to the sand. The hotel is exceptionally well presented, has plenty of space and in excellent condition. The breakfast and drinks at the bar were fantastic. Fabio was fantastic.

Glorious Beaches for Surf Dudes and Socialites

Once a destination for surf dudes, Florianopolis now also rides the tourism wave of chic nightclubs and beach parties. Located just off the coast of southern Brazil on Santa Catarina Island, you can choose from over 40 perfect beaches.

The island is joined to the industrialised mainland by the Hercilio Luz Bridge. On the island side, south of the centre is Praca XV de Novembro square. It is reached by a tree-lined boulevard that includes beautiful Catedral Metropolitana.

The northern area of the city centre features a promenade outlining the historic streets of Beira-Mar-Norte.

The northern beach of Jurere is party central with many nightclubs pandering to Brazil’s emerging wealthy set. Further south on the east coast are Joaquina, Campeche and Mole beaches, a more traditional surf and youth culture with many oceanfront bars scattered along the shore.

Floripa is our regular home for annual Brazil visits.

Floripa is our regular home for annual Brazil visits. We come from Australia to visit family here. The city is one of the best in the country for visitors: safe, clean by Brazilian standards, and with loads of attractions. Literally scores of great beaches, half a dozen good shopping areas, and several historical areas add up to a wealth of attractions. Eating out is cheap by Australian standards and getting around is fast and cheap with Uber (rarely used in Oz - too expensive, but here its a bargain). We come in autumn/winter to miss the CRAZY of the summer peak season, when the city gridlocks. We are in our sixties, and don't mind the cooler weather, given it clears the party crowd out and leaves plenty of room with off-season prices. Sunny days are still pleasantly warm, and 'wintery' days are only cool, never cold. All of southern Brazil (I count Rio as included) is 'nearby' in Australian terms, so Floripa is a convenient base for exploring north to Rio and south even into Uruguay. Santa Catarina has plenty of other pleasant cities; Blumenau and Balneario Camboriu are very close. Florianopolis meets our needs very well indeed.

Wow and loved Florianopolis! Such a wonderful place, and so close to nature! Super chilled and laid back and secure (compared to Rio!) Was not there at summer time when it get's packed, but was a fantastic three weeks inLagoa da Conceição

Florianópolis is a wonderful city, it has a lot of things to do and of all type. Beaches, bars, surfing, nature activities, cultural, shopping. The isle is big, and things can take time, it is important to organize the trip, some places takes hours to achieve.

Most certainly one of the best spots to visit in the South of Brazil. Beautiful scenarios, people and great food. Super chill vibes. The South of the island is probably the best place to visit for a quieter and less crowded stay, so i would start from there. Although buses will take you anywhere that could take long (island is big), Uber works fine, but it can be a bit costly. I would also recommend renting a motorbike, if possible. Many trekking trails and hidden beaches to visit. You'll be amazed.

Everything was great, but a bit more expensive than expected. Also, in spite of low crime rate, it's better to use cash when shopping, not your debit or credit card. Rarely, but fraud still occurs. I ran into con artists who swipe your card data, then charge several fictitious purchases, all around 35 dollars, apparently trying not to get noticed. Happened to me, but it did not spoil anything. I asked the bank to cancel my card and issue a new one, and went on to have fun and enjoy the local super-friendly people, gorgeous beaches and great sunny weather. Don't generalize, just be prudent.

It is a great and modern city with many beaches, covered with fine sand that feels nice to walk on bare foot. I enjoyed watching surfers, kites and other water sports while sipping beer under an umbrella. Restaurants, and cafes are everywhere. Most beaches are safe for children. The lakes add to the feel good environment in Floripa. The dunes are really nice and suitable for sandboarding. The roads are in excellent condtion for nice rides. Getting around Floripa is easy with Uber, bus, taxi, moto, and rented car. A fair warning is that cash is not excepted in busses. You need a tourist card and charge it. The bus service is well organized. If only you could buy the tourist card at the airport terminal🫥. The people I came accross are very friendly and professional. I only wished some more people could communicate in English in the establishments.

Modern, pleasant and very well equipped Pousada. Nothing went wrong in any of the room or hotel equipment including internet which is working perfectly. The location is just the most convenient as you can get there as you can walk to the Lagoa center and leave your car in the safe parking hotel. Extremely convenient ! Was not my first time and will not be the last time for sure … my Home in Floripa is there !

There's no luxury, but the three things I consider essential in a hotel are present: good shower, good bed and clean. In addition, there's a 24h bar, the staff is very friendly, breakfast is good and there is a valet service available if you are driving. It is also a 20-minute drive to the airport.

The hotel itself is beautiful! The amenities and the bedroom were clean and comfortable. It has a kitchen as well that you can use for cooking, some restaurants and a coffee shop on the first floor. It was a really cute place to stay for my short trip to Florianópolis centro.
