It was a great experience how you can live “off the grid”. The place was built to be relied on their own sources of water and power and is eco friendly. It’s absolutely beautiful and quiet house where everyone can find something interesting to do and explore. I loved the stairs to the beach and walk on the rocks . Also they have a pond so you can enjoy it too. The host is a very nice guy who put a lot of efforts into this place . Just come and enjoy nature peace and the wind .

We booked the cedar yurt, which was large and cozy. Enjoyed the wood stove after a rainy day on the sea. Nice selection of books and games to borrow. Beachcombing on property, accessed by tiny ferry boat you pulled across the channel with a rope.

This stay was awesome; the staff were so friendly and accommodating, and made us feel so welcome. We loved how close to the ocean the cabins were so we could walk along the shoreline, and it wasn’t too far of a drive to the Cape Breton trails which we hiked during our stay. The cabin was nice and warm for our winter stay, and the food at the dancing moose cafe was delicious!! We would definitely stay here again :)

The staff was great. The price was good for the location which was close to the Cabot Trail. Just be aware there's no air conditioning. Not a big deal as the temps weren't too bad while we were there. And there was a fan in each room.
