It is a very walkabout city.

It is a very walkabout city. Waterfront trail is a lovely place to stroll. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the downtown core. Lovely architecture in the old residential section. A few historical sites to visit, although open only seasonally. Worth a visit

The city of Kingston is so littered with homeless peoples garbage everywhere spray paint on almost every corner and a general public are smoking so much carfentanol and enphetameins and if that isnt enough Kingston possessed no family values from city council on down and the cheif of police is responsible for nothing but a 460 million dollar budget and the university students acue one million in fines annually for their wild parties

Kingston is a beautiful City in any season.

Kingston is a beautiful City in any season. The incredibly rich history of Canada and the early years of this great country is obvious. There are many restaurants; they are unique restaurants that are full of atmosphere. The quality of food is some of the best in Canada. There are also the normal chain restaurants located across the city. The waterfront is an absolute treat to walk. The downtown area of this city is safe and full of nightlife.

    A tough city to navigate!

A tough city to navigate! Many streets have medians which make it much more complicated to access facilities on the other side! Amazing shopping options at the Cataraqui Centre! Hard to believe SO many upscale stores are in Kingston. It’s just like being on Toronto, but they’re all in one mall with The Bay! Wow! Disappointed to discover that O.d Fort Henry had closed a month ago! We had hoped to spend a sunny day visiting there!!

So much to see and do here!

So much to see and do here! We booked the 3 hour 1000 Islands cruise out of Gananoque which was amazing. I’m Kingston, the Hop on hop off trolley tour is a must! Lots of restaurants, beautiful waterfront trail, historic downtown walking tour, Queens university, Fort Henry, Kingston Penitentiary, museums, art galleries. So glad we came and we’ll be back.

Took the 1 hour and 30 minute Kingston Penitentiary tour.

Took the 1 hour and 30 minute Kingston Penitentiary tour. Was very interesting and informative. Also visited the penitentiary museum across the street. Found that to be very interesting as well. There was one museum worker that was a former penitentiary employee that was extremely knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting details!

I have stayed several times at the Green Acres, most recently for 6 nights while visiting family. I love it. Rooms are spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed--including microwave, coffee maker, plates/utensils, Wi-Fi, iPhone charger, cable tv, iron/ironing board, hairdryer--even bathrobes and a bud vase with flowers in the bathroom. Location is great for anyone with family or business in the northern part of Kingston, and it's a short and easy drive to downtown. There's also a pond with a beaver dam on the property!

I think this is a perfect hotel in Kingston. It is very reasonable price. Relatively spacious and clean room. Every staffs are very kind. It looks quiet far from downtown in the map, but It takes only 15 min. by bus. No need to worry about that if you have a car. The market is in front of the hotel. The coin laundry is near the hotel.

Good stay in Kingston. Lots of parking available. Very close to Highway 401, and downtown Kingston, but no outside noise. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. The room was clean when we arrived. We didn't stay for breakfast but looked like there were a few options to indulge in. I'll keep this one in mind for future travels.

Great location! That is the best thing about this otherwise mediocre hotel. We had a waterfront view of the Kingston Harbour which was lovely. Parking was easy (although expensive) as it was part of the main property. We actually didn't need to use the car at all while we were there as everything is within walking distance.

We had a studio-room with a kingsize bed. Very comfortable and with a view to the lake. Hotel located top for a one block walk to doentoen Kingston. A very good breakfast included. Car could be parked outside or in the garage. We can recommend the hotel very much. A very convenient shower (not part as a bathtub as usual).

The breakfast and free parking makes it worth staying at this hotel. While you will need your car/taxi to travel downtown, in the evening it is an easy walk to the water for a nice stroll. There are no vending machines so you will need to bring your snacks and drinks with you. I would highly recommend staying here.

We knew nothing about Kingston and were just looking for a stopover between Toronto and Montreal. Kingston is perfect - quieter and away from the bustle of the large cities. Parking was easy and the hotel charming. Very easy walking to the restaurants in town and then around the town to the shore.
