Central location
Our daughter goes to Queens University. We were very happy she chose Queens because the city feels safe. Unfortunately, like every other city, the homeless population has become an issue and she feels less safe due to the open drug use and mental health issues of the unhoused.

A friendly casual township, pleasant waterfront with a selection of good reasonably priced restaurants. An excellent supermarket (Metro) is not too far away, ten to fifteen minute walk. When we were there on a Thursday evening there was a open air free family movie.

Kingston is a great place to vacation.
Kingston is a great place to vacation. Would definitely visit again. Plenty of things to do and see. We took a tour of town hall and boat tour. There are a lot of activities at the Market such as salsa dancing lessons and farmers market. Took a walk along the breathtaking waterfront. Beautiful city.

Kingston Pen tours are every ten minutes and interesting.
Kingston Pen tours are every ten minutes and interesting. The downtown university has a medical history museum that can be seen inside an hour. There are parks around to walk. Downtown has good restaurants. The art gallery was being renovated but that wasn't clear it was closed, We had been before and wanted to go again. We want to visit Fort Henry next time. Driving east or west on Highway 2 to nearby towns on the St. Lawrence, is easy and more scenic than the 401 highway. We ate at the Black Dog and the Pan Chancho bakery.

Kingston is a beautiful city.
Kingston is a beautiful city. Being the Capital city of Canada at one time it has some extraordinary architecture. The history of Kingston, and the former Fort Kingston is very interesting for travelers and patriotic Canadians.

Very expensive place to visit - my hotel total, plus meals, and ferry trip - equalled enough for a return flying fare to Europe!!!!
Lovely original architecture being preserved and reused, ie Un student rooms in 2 or 3 buildings surrounding the Market Square.
MC for the ferry ride extremely knowledgeable and with humour - tons of good information.
I did not take the Trolley journey, but others voiced a positive response.
Chez Piggy - a dining establishment is inventive in their cuisine. I had a pasta dish which was an absolute delight - a light cream sauce, not swimming, and with some crunchy additions. Our waiter, Michael, new the menu frontwards and backwards AND had a delightful sense of humour.
I was visiting to spend time with an absolutely lovely couple from Australia. They crowned the journey with extremely good and pleasant memories.
Breakfast was amazing, lots of choices for all ages. Hotel location is great: 6 to 8 mins from downtown Kingston, and 3 to 4 mins from Hwy 401 (which is great if you're just stopping by for a day). The rooms were clean and nice, and hotel staff is friendly. We told them by email that it was our wedding anniversary week, and they actually remembered and made it extra special. We even got some nice pictures to show. Overall, we had a great time and would stay there again.
This is the best hotel in Kingston, overall in Canada. The staff, all were very kind and helpful, at the front, in the hotel restaurant, and in housekeeping, impressively kind. Its location in the Waterfront was another merit as well as huge parking lot. Particularly I thank the guy who waited for me in front of room to carry the coffee capsules and cups which I requested for quite a long time even at 6 am in the morning!
Nice and quiet location in a residential area. An easy 7 minute drive to downtown Kingston. Everything you need is in this cozy little apartment. There are even some chairs to sit outside and relax. No cable but plenty of Netflix. We brought our food to cook and the little apartment served us well. Next time we visit Kingston, we would book this again for sure!
This hotel was really amazing!!! Samantha on front desk was awesome, Wendy who takes care of the breakfast was super efficient & very friendly provided us with a wonderful breakfast (too full to go swimming as planned LOL). Room was very clean & beds were super comfy! We will definitely come again when visiting Kingston.
I highly recommend this hotel!!
