This is the best hotel in Kingston, overall in Canada. The staff, all were very kind and helpful, at the front, in the hotel restaurant, and in housekeeping, impressively kind. Its location in the Waterfront was another merit as well as huge parking lot. Particularly I thank the guy who waited for me in front of room to carry the coffee capsules and cups which I requested for quite a long time even at 6 am in the morning!

Absolutely great location to visit Kingston. Our room overlooked the marina and was very nice. Car parking can be very tight however the guy who worked in the parking garage was fantastic, not only did he get us a slot every time we passed him he would have a chat. Unfortunately we didn’t get to say goodbye as he wasn’t there when we left.

I chose to do a staycation in my hometown. The reason - Kingston is a beautiful city with a variety of restaurants, parks, hiking trails, historical sites, and well...fabulous people. Try one of our latest restaurants - Hey Darlin Diner. The service and the food were exceptional when we went. The Black Dog Tavern, while a bit pricey, is fabulous as well. Avoid the fast food restaurants and fine at our local places owned and run by locals. Eat local food, and drink local wines and spirits. Hike or walk along Kingston's beautiful waterfront, visit Lemoine's Point, and our many conservation areas. Just north of Kingston is Gould's Lake, which has a variety of hiking trails, as does Frontenac Park. If you love history, visit the Kingston Penitentiary, Fort Henry, the Marine Museum, and Murney Tower to name just a few. There are also trolley and boat tours that give you a bigger sense of the history of the area. It's fairly easy to get around, but parking downtown isn't always that great during the winter months or tourist season. The buses run fairly regularly - except during holidays, and on Sundays they are less frequent. It says something about a place when a local decides that a great vacation can be found in her own backyard.
Kingston is an interesting city. In the winter the historic sites are closed. Downtown is very walkable. There was an outdoor skating rink and fires outside the town hall at the weekend. Numerous restaurants and bars. Military college, queens university.
Kingston is a vibrant small city with a lot to offer any traveller. Downtown is charming and the number of top notch restaurants is impressive. Lots to see along the lakeshore making it a great place to walk around. Shout out to the Everly restaurant and lounge for a great meal and terrific staff.
I’ve visited many hotels and Kingston many times as my daughter is a student at queens in Kingston. My stay at the Hampton inn by Hilton was by far superior in terms of hotel cleanliness and staff friendliness and helpfulness as well as beautiful family friendly hotel than any I’ve stayed in so far. Kingston is beautiful and the queens campus as well. I would recommend Kingston and this hotel anytime.
Kingston is a great place to visit! The city has so much to offer to it's visitors. If you stay in the downtown core you are in walking distance of many interesting highlights. The expanded waterfront promenade is a must to walk all the way along Lake Ontario to Queen's University from the downtown core. The inner city is packed with unique shops and a variety of coffee shops and restaurants. The cruises are within walking distance of the downtown core and allow you to sail the harbor and the Thousand Islands. KINGSTON IS A VERY SPECIAL PLACE AND A REAL GEM- A CITY TO VISIT, EXPLORE AND ENJOY.
Filthy exterior with garbage accumulated at doorways; dirty carpets; bathroom smelled like urine; didn’t have the room we booked; deafeningly loud air conditioner that kept waking us; threadbare and in desperate need of and upgrade; exorbitantly expensive.
Kingston
We were looking for something different…but within our budget..we love character & history and this inn was perfect. All within walking distance of downtown Kingston..the staff were amazing & very accommodating, even with the parking difficulties ..the breakfast was included in the price & was delicious. A very nice stay overall.
We spent one night in Delta Kingston Hotel. The location was great , the staff were friendly and helpful. The carpet in the hallway of the rooms was dirty but the room was clean . The breakfast was great although the exterior of the windows in the restaurant was so dirty . We asked for a late check out and they accepted it pleasantly.
Bed was VERY comfortable - firm but cushion top. Room was clean. Coffee and tea in room. Although breakfast was bagged, there was an assortment of muffins, granola bars, different yogurts, 3 juices, fruit and fresh coffee. Outdoor pool was closed but looked nice. Only 5/10 mins from downtown Kingston.
The Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and modern, and the pool was lovely. It was our kiddos first experience of a hotel and they had a blast. We would happily recommend the Days Inn to anyone traveling to the Kingston area.
New-ish hotel, very comfortable, family-friendly, great value and in a great area. If you're looking for something within walking distance of downtown, this might not be for you, but it is a very quick drive/taxi (5 mins) to downtown area.
