I'm not a dog lover but was attracted by the price, location and great reviews. Incredible place. Very clean for starters - no dog hairs, e.g., on the inside, which I had been a bit worried about. And to my surprise I really loved THESE dogs - magnificent, strong animals but also well-behaved and gentle. They're obviously well-trained and well-treated. I almost didn't go on the morning walk, and that would have been a big mistake - it turned out (like for many people!) to be a highlight of my trip. I'd love to go back in the winter for the sledding. Also, as all reviewers rightly note, the owners are very friendly.

Interesting and novel for us; allowed for us to chat and meeting with other travelers in a community atmosphere. Wifi work reasonalbly well and allowed us to keep in contact with family. Location was a surprise since it allowed us to visit areas we would not have known about. It was charming however our wash area was quiet space efficient as compared to the lower 48 states.

We stayed in a cottage outside the main facility (10 mins drive). It was cottage number 7. The cottage had stunning view from its windows and it was big, with enough beds for a big family and very clean. The kids enjoyed seeing and petting the animals in the main facility. There is also a small pool and playground that we didn't use.
This Sacré-Coeur property is located in Saguenay National Park, 15 minutes from the tourist village of Tadoussac. The property offers a cabin with an outdoor hot tub and fireplace.

The location of property was excellent. The rooms were clean.
Quaint village. Pretty houses. A supermarket, coffee shop, restaurants and public dock. Lots of places to stay from camping to bed and breakfasts and cottages. Ideally situated for taking a boat whale watching or kayaking the fjord.
Hilly terrain if you are biking.
Must have a car to travel.

This is a real kingdom ! The beauty of nature is hard to describe. The fjord is breathtaking, the people are very friendly. In wintertime the scenery has something magical. Under the cover of snow, the forest is quiet and peaceful.

Easy access to the fjord for views and walks, including a nice hiking trail beside the river. We visited in the autumn, so the leaves were superb, but quite a few places were closed. It's a long straggly village, but happily our apartment was close to the shop, with more amenities up at the main road (170). If camping's your thing, the campsite looked very good with a nice communal area. There's a spectacular view at Tabatiere, but it's an expensive one unless you plan to visit another National Parc site the same day. (There are other good views at Petit Saguenay, about 20 miles back down the 170, and they are free!) The picturesque Pont du Faubourg (covered bridge) is famous for appearing on the C$1000 note (no longer legal tender), and gets quite a lot of attention. It houses a nice display of local art and history.

This small village is centrally located right next to the primary south bank component of the Parc National about half way between the mouth of the river and Chicoutimi-Saquenay. There are a few restaurants including a café with excellent buckwheat crepes. A small boulangerie occupies the former parish house next to the church.. Access to the water includes the excursion boats which go both up and down the river and a kayak rental. The municipally operated RV park looks very nice, beautifully laid out and right on the river.

Huge place with a breathtaking view of the fjord. As it was the beginning of the season we were provided with a bigger place than we initially asked, there were 2 bedrooms. The bathroom was big and really functional. The whole place was freshly renovated and nicely decorated. There was even a kettle which is quite rare for Canadian hotels.
All the rooms had doors that opened onto a balcony and we didn't need to go through the inside of the hotel to access our room. Breakfast was an extra $5 per person, was served on the balcony (each room has its own table and chairs) and was a great value. The decor was very charming. Fridge and microwave provided.
The hotel is charming; it has a very unique ambiance. For us it has the right '40-'50ies style; before standardized hotel expectations. Breakfast was fine.
