Boasting panoramic views of Lunenburg’s historic waterfront, Rum Runner Inn is located across the street from the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic in the center of Old Town Lunenburg. We liked having the enclosed balcony which overlooked the harbour. The guest handbook contained accurate information about local restaurants. Staff was extremely helpful.
This inn is located in Old Town Lunenburg UNESCO World Heritage site. Free Wi-Fi and a refrigerator are offered in each guest room. Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic is 492 feet away. We were looking for a place to get away for the night that had a spa tub in the room. It was a beautiful place, and the tub was perfect
Located just 3.7 mi from the town of Mahone Bay, this guest accommodations offers a private strip of beach on the bay. Each room features individual décor and free Wi-Fi. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Breakfast was really good. Great location to go and explore the area.
Located 8.6 miles from Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, Toba's Bed & Breakfast provides accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. It was awesome! Kelly and Cathy were wonderful. They had lots of recommendations for the area. They are amazing cooks. Breakfast was always wonderful. And it was a lot of fun getting to know them. Highly recommended!!!!
Our visit to Lunenbur greatg was at the end of an 11 day tour of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. We definitely saved the best for last. Would have liked to have had one more day in Lunenburg. All of the restaurants were great. we ate at the Half Shell Oysters, The South Shore Fish Shack and the Smoke Pitt BBQ. Just wanderin up and down the dock side and through town looking at all the different houses was entertaining.
Lunenburg, and our first trip to Canada was wonderful. As mentioned before, if you have seen the Sinner 4, which was set in Maine, (as was Locke and Key, the ice cream parlor is here) it was filmed here and you can easily find all the locations, most right in town. It was a beautiful walk each day past the beautiful multi-colored houses to the sweetest downtown ever. There are many great restaurants, several coffee shops, a gym, with a spa (infrared sauna prices way less than u.s.), many churches, great waterfront, museum and the people were so friendly. I would definitely recommend Lunenburg. You can also spend a day in Halifax which is about an hour away.
Lununberg is a World Unesco site and if you enjoy history and old-world charm this is the place for you. There are many activities tp participate in. There is are horse drawn carriage rides , sailing tours, museums golf ,excellent restaurants.
Lunenburg was one of my favorite cities in Nova Scotia. It was a quiet town but had a lot of options for restaurants, shops, and pubs. My husband and I walked throughout the town and even down to the Knot Pub and admired all of the cute houses along the way. If you drive across the bay, towards the golf course, you can get a photo of the cute port of Lunenburg. I would definitely visit this city again!
A very pretty town with a lot of history. The historical walking tour was very informative and our stay at the Atlantic View Hotel was very nice. We arrived earlier than anticipated and the owner was very accommodating to let us in ahead of expected check in.
Lunenburg has world heritage status for good reason. The old town is amazing...but it's made for young, able bodied people who can climb steep hills, walk some distance from whatever street parking they can find, and who can manage gorgeous heritage hotels that don't have elevators. I was exceedingly lucky to find a disabled parking spot on the street (only one of two that I spotted in the old town) that was very close to my hotel, and I was able to secure a room on the entry level because of the kindness of the staff. Good restaurants, to be sure - but make a reservation to be sure you can get in!
The owners are amazing, they made our stay absolutely delightful. The location of the Inn is directly downtown. Daily walks to shopping, restaurants, and the wharf to watch the sunsets is right out your door. The bay is the view out the window. The room is clean, bright and spacious. Our favorite part of our trip are the people we have met, especially the owners of Smugglers Cove Inn.
Everything about this B&B is perfect. Located in the middle of the strip in Lunenburg. You can park your vehicle and don’t have to move again. The view is extraordinary. The room is hudge, the cleanest one I have ever been to. The owner are amazingly kind.
Great location, comfy beds, and a beautiful view. The room had everything I needed. I had dinner at the deli and was also very pleased with the food and the service. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Lunenburg.
