Loved our room at Kinley House. Our space was so well laid out. Good size bedroom, eating area and bathroom. Add a well equipped kichen without all the clutter, and a bonus balcony. Wonderful stay with great communication on all accounts. We would definitely stay here again

Walking along the streets and along the harbour road taking in the vintage houses is lovely, eating at the Salt Shaker and Beach Pea (tip eat early by 5:00), kayaking at nearby Blue Rocks, and walking the beaches at Hirtle Beach and Kingsburg Beach were all favourites.

Every restaurant was first class, which is important if the weather is poor. Somehow they have to provide more parking. It is likely a good idea to time your visit with the schedule of the Bluenose II.

As the prettiest town in Canada undeniably attractive to visit. Small therefore easy to cover most of town, plenty of nice restaurants mostly dealing sea food but without the broad range of seafood you might expect in their location.

Lunenburg is my happy place, I have family roots here and love being able to come and reconnect..Isnt too many places in the world where you can talk to random people in the street and then you find out you are distant cousins :) The good thing about leaving is that I get to look forward to coming back.

This is a beautiful little town with lots of restaurants and shops, but due to it being early in the season, (May) not many were open. Only a few were open late enough for dinner and they were extremely busy. Good pizza & Pad Thai at Salt Shaker Deli. Mussels were popular at the Grand Banker. There were only a few places that offered a full breakfast. (Bluenose Inn, Dockside Inn)) The town locks up tight at night, so don’t plan for evening entertainment. Lunenburg was very quiet in the morning and the evenings but busy during the mid afternoon. None of the whale watching tours or the Bluenose tour were open and the Museum was closed due to the early season, but it was nice that the place wasn’t overly busy. I can’t imagine how this small town would handle summer tourists! The town has beautiful views over the harbour, a few very hilly streets and several one-way streets and most are narrow. The info signs giving history etc. along Bluenose Drive are all weather damaged and unreadable as was the one for the shops on the Main Street. We took a drive to Blue Rocks. It was very tiny, not much to see but pretty. Sadly the few people we saw were not very friendly or helpful. I’d like to return to the area and spend more time checking out the coast. I’d use Lunenburg as a base for day trips.

Lunenburg is an historic fishing town on the waterfront settled in the 1700s. It's worth a visit, and not too far from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Walk around the hilly streets for a self-guided tour, as there are signs in front of churches and on several street corners describing the history.

The Motel is very close to gas station, grocery store, Tim Hortons and a liquor store. It honestly could not have been more convenient. Our cabin/room was very quaint and comfortable for a 4 person stay. The outdoor space around the cabin is well kept, the smoking area is easy to find and respectably far from any building, and there is plenty of parking available. There is a variety of kitchen utensils available to use, which made it very easy for us to have well prepared snacks for our trips around Lunenburg!

Very convenient location within walking distance of anything you might want to do in Lunenburg town. Room had a fridge and small table and chairs which was convenient. There was communal access to a pleasant deck overlooking the harbour, which was nice to sit in and watch the busy activities below. Very pleasant, friendly staff. Super King sized bed that was very comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at the Alicion. Joe and Chris are wonderful hosts and you feel their pleasure and pride in their work. Lunenburg is a great place for an overnight stop, we also enjoyed walking through the neighbourhood to get to the waterfront, where all the restaurants are located.

The room was quite large, fitting a family of four perfectly! The attention to detail with regards to the decor was spot on. Very tastefully decorated. The bed was the most comfortable one we’ve stayed in all trip! We will be back for sure and highly recommend the Lunenburg Arms!
