River Ridge Lodge has river views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Mahone Bay. We liked everything about our three night stay. The room was one of the most comfortable we have ever stayed in and our hosts were wonderful people who are very passionate about their business and the property they own. The continental breakfast was very good with a nice variety of options. The owner made sure we always had enough food available, including evening snacks.
Offering guest rooms with a sea view, Fairmont House Bed & Breakfast is located in Mahone Bay. Free WiFi access is available. A flat-screen cable TV and DVD player are featured in each room. Beautiful house with superbly appointed rooms, charming and welcoming host and a perfect location for walking along the Main Street to any amenities - and a British style pub directly opposite! We had a lovely stay and I heartily recommend it.
Featuring garden views, Red Mahone B & B in Mahone Bay features accommodations, a shared lounge and a garden. The bed and breakfast features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Comfortable bed and awesome shower. Breakfast was delicious and hosts were very friendly and accommodating.
Located just 3.7 mi from the town of Mahone Bay, this guest accommodations offers a private strip of beach on the bay. Each room features individual décor and free Wi-Fi. An excellent place in all respects. The location was lovely, and Joanna's care and attention to detail, including the breakfasts, was exemplary.
Mahone Bay Hide-Away is located in Mahone Bay and offers barbecue facilities and a terrace. This property has a patio and free private parking. The tiny cottage was beautifully decorated and had more amenities than you could ask for...washer, dryer, great shower, fully equipped kitchen, free WiFi, Cable TV, comfortable bed. It was a short walk around the corner to walk the beautiful streets of Mahone Bay to shop and look at the ocean.
This little village is lovely and the locals are extremely nice. We were only there for 2 days but would have stayed longer if we had had the time. We highly recommend the Mug and Anchor and Circa 1860 Kitchen + Public House. The Amos Pewter workshop and flagship store are located here as well and should not be missed.
Mahone Bay was a beautiful area. We had never been there before. It was a great location to explore from. We wanted to go to the Ross Farm Museum and Lunenburg. We were in easy driving distance for both and saw many interesting things in the area
The owners were great at the Mahone Bay B & B, they were welcoming and spoke freely about the tour of Oak Island and what guests have experienced before. If you want tickets to this, be on the website on the exact date and exact time that the ticket office opens, it is really hard to get them. Note that you can`t access the island at all on tour days unless you have tickets. This is disappointing :(, eat at Oh My Cod across the street from the Mahone B & B! Delicious! Also, hit up the local brewery for live music, and delicious beers. We tried the full taster and it was awesome! Nun on the Run was my favorite!
Mahone Bay is very picturesque. Quaint little village. Lots of shops to look in, although they are fairly expensive. Our Bed and breakfast was a nice with great breakfast to start the day- It was Heart's Desire. Easy to walk to most stores. Didn't like that everything closed at 5 except restaurants, so no shopping or looking in museums after 5. Only evening activity appears to be eating out in one of several restaurants. I was hoping for some live music at one of the eating places or public places. Or some kind of event. We were there midweek and there was nothing going on in the evenings. A half a day there was plenty, especially if you have limited interest in shopping or having coffee. We did drive out to Indian Point- great views.
Great cafe, The Barn Super art, clothing, jewelry store - Northern Sun Wonderful place to walk Just a hop to Chester & the terrific White Gate Inn + Restaurant & The Chester Playhouse or a jump to wonderful Lunenburg for music, food, shopping, local history
Mahone Bay is a sleepy little town that comes alive during the day. Thanks to the popularity of the TV show "The curse of Oak Island," it draws tourists from around the world. Still, many of those who come here are here for the sun, the scenery and the absolutely gorgeous area. It is an easy drive from Halifax and LunenBurg. When in town, be sure to eat at Oh My Cod, where Steve and Tony will take good care of you. Dinner at Maestro is also highly recommended -- the "Ultimate Seafood Chowder" is exactly that! There is not much of a night life -- the town rolls up around 9:30 p.m.when the sun starts to set, but that doesn't matter. Nightlife is an easy drive away and Mahone Bay seems to take pride in its calm and tranquility. It is the type of place where a traveler wants to buy a house after just one visit.
Air conditioning available for sleeping and great breakfast!
