Handy to many attractions (e.g., Cypress Hills park, T-rex Discovery Centre), big enough to have all the amenities (e.g., restaurants, grocery store, gas stations, museum, interesting shops…), AND… very friendly and hospitable people.

Picturesque little town nestled just east of the Cypress...
Picturesque little town nestled just east of the Cypress Hills with various activities related to history, cattle ranching and abundant wildlife.
Be sure to visit the Cypress Hills for incredible landscapes, peaceful walking trails, swimming or cross country skiing, horseback riding then wrap up your day with a fantastic meal at Ivan's Restaurant at the Resort.

The town is so quaint and friendly.
The town is so quaint and friendly. Close to Cypress Hills and Fort Walsh. Grotto Gardens is very cool and unique with goats, llamas, alpaca etc and a cute gift shop, mini golf and restaurant. The town has a world famous toy store and plush animal store. A really uniques and special town to visit. So much to do. Brand new pool. Great golf course.

What we like most was the proximity to cypress hills, as we love to walk there. We went in the afternoon before checking in to our hotel, then again in the morning before continuing our journey. We enjoyed coffee downtown and visiting the shops. On a previous trip we enjoyed the goat farm near town, on the way to cypress hills

Such a cute town with great access to the Cypress Hills...
Such a cute town with great access to the Cypress Hills provincial park. Good golf course & brand new swimming pool. Nationally known toy store here as well- crazy great stock for a tiny town.
Rocking Horse is a great place to eat. Grotto Gardens is so fun!

Maple Creek is a very interesting community with lots of...
Maple Creek is a very interesting community with lots of history, and a lot of great art. It has numerous festivals to be enjoyed. Definitely a gem in SW Saskatchewan. They have a number of historic sites to visit in the area including Fort Walsh National Historic Site. The Cypress Hills are just a short drive away

Its a family run business.Owners were very friendly and intentive to their guests. If you are traveling on the TCH from Swift Current to Medicine Hat ,that's a long distance. Don't hesitate to drop down to Maple Creek Motor Inn. It is a very easy 5km down. The motel is about the first building you come to on the edge of town. Easy access and lots of parking . Restaurant and pub on site.

We were on a road trip from Vancouver to Quebec.
The hotel was well equipped. Our room was very large and had everything we needed for one night. It also had air conditioning. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was “simple” but okay.

This is a newer hotel, very clean and modern. We had a great 2 bedroom suite that was well equipped. The property is well situated to explore Cyprus Hills, Fort Walsh and even as far as Grasslands National Park on a day trip basis.
