It was a typical tourist town of the affluent. Not my cup of tea. The town itself is beautiful and the surrounding area also. Not to throw any shade but we just like the old school personable towns. Twenty minutes outside of town is three valley gap ghost town which preserved several old buildings. If you love history then this is a must see! Give yourself a couple hours as it is bigger than you think.
Mountain Biking at Mount Revelstoke Resort was the best, very challenging. The Revelstoke Dam Tour was informative and had a lot of hands on activities for kids. The Halcyon Hot Springs is delightful any time of year. The beach at Lake Revelstoke was a nice relaxing time and the walking/hiking paths in and around town are well taken care of.
I always love visiting Revelstoke! The town itself is small but charming and has a "mountain holiday" feel without being overly crowded or touristy. I enjoy the music in Grizzly Plaza in the summer for winding down after a day's hiking.
The staff were excellent, hated the bathtub with a shower attachment would have preferred a shower. TV worked the night we arrived but wouldn't work in the morning the air conditioning was really loud so we turned it off to sleep and the room got too hot. We liked the tim hortons as we have gone there everytime we stay there but we only stop for the night when we go there.
Revelstoke has beautiful surroundings, closeby spa, beautiful views ,hikes, trails. We know from others in winter time this is the best the place for snowmobiling and other winter activities. We visited this place in summer on our road trip within Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC. And it exceeded our expections. Thank you for hospitality Sharie, we will definitely book this place again .Paula and David, Czechia
It was just an overnght trip this time but have visited before. There is a great to see railway museum that you can climb into a steam engine and walk the rail cars. All indoor in a loo alike round house. If you know steamers you know what I mean. I spent a whole day there, Lots of walking trails and old bridges.
