A Suite Retreat - Beyond Bed & Breakfast is located in Whitecroft, just 5.6 mi from Sun Peaks Resort. Kamloops is 30 minutes' drive away. What an amazing space the host has created! We have stayed in many hotels and bnb’s but this one was truly one of the very best and definitely made with the most love and thought. Comfy bed! Quiet and secluded, epic breakfast! The hot tub and fire pit were a great way to end the day on the slopes.
Located in Sun Peaks in the British Columbia region, Discovery's Woodhaven 8 in Sun Peaks has a balcony and garden views. It was a great location, lovely accommodations. There was plenty of room for our family of 8 - good common space but also enough room for some alone time. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans etc. I would highly recommend this accommodation and definitely would book it again.
This is my second time at Sun Peaks and I love this little village. It is so beautiful and convenient. The restaurants could use some diversity as its almost all pub dining. Fresh eateries like Jam (Vancouver), Araxi (whistler), Quartermasters (Revelstoke) are all examples of higher scale options that would be nice to see in Sun peaks future (perhaps a cocktail bar). There are so many accommodation options here that there is almost always availability somewhere convenient to the village. We love Sun Peaks for it's convenience above everything else.
The room was nicely appointed and well laid out for the most part. There are some good restaurants in the village although prices are a bit high, avoid the pizza place! The scenery and hiking opportunities are fantastic.
Sun Peaks is stunning. The business owners are upbeat and trying their very best in this challenging time. Visit McGillivray Lake..bike, hike, paddleboarding canoeing, fishing. Visit Ohana Deli Market for your picnic items. Bolacco Cafe for coffee, wraps..delicious and very friendly owners Vertical Cafe - again, good coffee, organic options and good breakfast wraps, Bottoms Bar & Restaurant - for the patio, views, excellent nachos and drink specials, outstanding staff. There was live music also. Powder Hounds Restaurant - We enjoyed an excellent Schnitzel dinner.
My husband and I think that Sun Peaks is the best kept secret for intermediate level skiers in North America. Affordable, no lift lines, lots of runs and varied terrain. The snow is generally light and dry as opposed to Whistler. Lots of good grooming every night. Plus a nice mountain village with more than enough dining options for a week of skiing. Plenty of good ski-in Ski-out accommodations available, hotel, condo, or house. We got in the habit of coming up from Seattle and have continued the much more time consuming trek regularly since moving to North Dakota 10 years ago. Worth the time and trouble to ski at our favorite place!
Sun Peaks is a nice ski resort with a great village feel. It is nicely designed and has a lot of alpine character. Good access from the village to the lifts. Not crowded so no long queues for the chair lifts. Good selection of restaurants to suit all budgets, Mantles at the Grand Hotel was our best choice although it was a bit more expensive than others.
Sun Peaks has great snow plus a charming village with multiple lodging options, grocery store, liquor store, several ski shops, a Patagonia store, cozy cafes and good restaurants. My three favorite are 1. gelato (hidden) inside Joe Poutine's, 2. homemade baked goods and lunches at Bolacco's cafe and 3. delicious mussels and a great wine selection at The Powder Hound.
Perfectly located in the village and the SKI Conceierge Service was fantastic!! Also loved the bar on the ground floor for a mulled wine at the end of the ski day.
