Room was clean and motel was quiet, and close to the event we were going to. Staff was very friendly. The grounds had a nice looking gazebo to hang out in and cool mushroom trees.

The people are so friendly, always happy to talk with you and help where needed. All the bus drivers were so helpful. Restaurants we visited served good food, friendly staff. Spent our time at World Curling event, met wonderful locals and nice visitors "from away"

Sydney will never be what it was back in the 50 and 60s., with the Steel Plant, fishing and the closing of the coal mines in the area but if you have lived here in the past you can still enjoy the scenery.

Dominion beach was the best beach out of the few i went to...

Dominion beach was the best beach out of the few i went to it was very long to accommodate many people, it had plenty of sand for the little ones, it was quite cold but not much worse than many other bodies of water. Fortress of louisburg was pretty interesting just be sure to pack your own snacks and drinks as their food and drinks are extremely overpriced, it is chilly to start (on a 21C day) but gets quite warm once walking around and if you can avoid bringing a stroller it will be much easier to get around. Two rivers wildlife park was a good spot to check out the animals, good luck seeing the moose but worth the trip, the canteen is reasonably priced with a good variety of fried foods to choose from which were very delicious. Many of the tourist spots are pretty far away so we did not get to tour many places such as fundy bay to see the tides or the cabot trail or lunenberg because it is a lot of driving and we drove to cape breton from southern ontario. Make sure to keep your plastic bottles because you pay deposits at the grocery stores! It is a little bit more of an expensive place to travel to but the ocean views, sunsets and the amazing friendliness of the locals makes it worth it all in the end.

Cape Breton is a lovely place but a huge price-gouging tourist trap. Lots of places haven't recovered from COVID so many places were either closed or short-staffed. The weather is getting crazy too. Booking.com was the biggest pain in the ass. In a number of situations, they were confusing, unhelpful, and useless. Far better to call the motel directly and avoid this European-owned and operated app.

Excellent place to visit, so much to do. We ended up staying at North Sidney at the "Hotel North" Excellent location, very clean rooms, right at the Newfoundland Ferry launch. Excellent restaurant and close to plenty of amenities.

Personnel was excellent. I arrived at 3am in the morning, and they treatment diligently and offered me a bigger room that I booked. I went for work, and was able to use the Gym perfectly well. It was a little old, however, they have a variety of machines that were great to exercise between conference meetings. The hotel is from a walking distance to the Convention Center. And if you like to walk, you can take a 30m walk downtown.
