We wanted a nice property out of Halifax with access to Annapolis Valley and good jumping off point for drive to Cape Breton. Windsor was a good location and August House was superb. Great rooms and staff. Opened last October after 1-1/2 yr restoration. Fine attention to details and conveniences.

This is a great little spot for anyone who would like a lakeside stay- yet close enough to explore all of the wineries surrounding Wolfville. (Only a 10 - 15 minute drive ) It was nice to have a full kitchen and open living area as well as modern bathroom and very comfy sleeping quarters. This place is perfect for a couple. They’ve done a lovely renovation of the cabin.

It’s very beautiful lake front property . Beds were cozy and house is spacious enough for a family . The host went extra mile to make our stay comfortable . He was very thoughtful and communicative .
