Offering spectacular views of the Swiss and French Alps, Hôtel Le Grand Chalet is a family-run, historic house from 1896, located 164 feet from the ski slopes in Leysin. Truly a gem! Amazing views from the top of Leysin. Lovely, comfortable room. Cute decor throughout. Friendly, helpful staff. Great breakfast with cold & hot options. Loved our dinner in the restaurant (perch appetizer followed by fondue chinois). Cocktails in the lounge. The grounds are beautiful & relaxing. Free parking. Pet friendly. I read reviews that said the bathrooms were outdated. This wasn’t the case for us. Our bathroom seemed brand new.

The quietly located Les Roulottes des Noisetiers is a 5-minute drive from the center of Leysin. Guests can relax in the hot tub, sauna and steam bath, and sip a drink in the bar. The wooden room was very comfortable and beautiful, with amazing view of the mountains from the little balcony. The hot tub outside was great and very relaxing. The staff was also very nice. We travelled with a car, so although its a bit remote it was easily accessible for us, but without a car it could be challenging. Will be happy to come back.

Many families visiting Leysin loved staying at Hôtel Le Grand Chalet, Hôtel La Tour d'Aï, and Alpine Classic Hotel.
To begin with, The location could not be any better in that time of the year. We went in the last week of June and it was quite hot considering the country and it's usual climate. But the surrounding beauty and it's essence was utterly brilliant. The hotel was absolutely magnificent to stay. We were two families sharing three bedrooms. We were really happy with the service we received and they really do try all their best to please their customers and make them feel at home. The reception lady was extremely generous to stay till 12 at midnight to give us the keys despite them finishing an hour earlier. There is free parking and their morning breakfast with the gorgeous view will left you wanting more. Alas, our stay was only for a night but we will definitely be coming back again next year. Thank you for a "classic" stay and keep up the good work. I will definitely be recommending my friends and family.
Nice resort, a bit small, good for beginners, not too busy, cool snow park, relatively affordable (for Swiss standards), almost no drag lifts (in Leysin itself). Unfortunately it was too warm when I was there (February 2020) so the snow was not really good, but other than that it's great for a long weekend.
I was in Leysin, Switzerland for a week of snow skiing. There are several very nice restaurants, hotels and gift shops in this Swiss village. I mailed several gifts from the post office, which is conveniently located in the middle of the village . I rode the mountain train up from Aigle, Switzerland. There is a free bus service to travel around the area. I rented snow skis at a shop right across from the Gondola base station.
Leysin is incredible for skiing. Maybe not if your a complete beginer but just going up the ski lift is a must even if you don’t ski up the mountains. The views are incredible and the restaurant is lush. Tabogganing Park is a day trip as the walk is lovely and the actual tabogganing is about of fun especially for kids. The train station is very good for finding out information. There is apparently car hire available for about £60 per day at the car garage. We used trains and buses which were easy to use and always on time to get to places like the glacier 3000 (allow plenty of time) and Les Bains De Lavey natural thermal outdoor pool which was well worth the trip. People in Switzerland tend to be indoors after dark and out early in the morning to make the most of the day. If you have a car you can get around easy and quick. Taxis are stupidly expensive. Trains lovely but time consuming. Supermarkets are sparse but so much cheaper for drinks and snacks.
In the mountains so it is very hilly! Leysin is about 1000m above sea level. The cable car goes up a further 1000m and lots of good hikes up there. Also climbing. Massively sporty. The youth games for 2020 are in Leysin so facilities excellent. Definitely a great place for hiking and thinking and writing. There are a number of water fountains around with gorgeous mountain filtered water which tastes beautifully clean. Many places take euros as well as Swiss francs and the supermarkets vary in price with the cheaper one tucked away.
Leysin is a beautiful ski resort town high up in the Swiss Alps. It has a cable car ride to the mountain La Berneuse which is 2048m high. The cable car even took our dogs! A great experience to reach the top where the views are breathtaking. There is a rotating restaurant and a bar to chill out. We ate at Davinda's one evening and had fajitas which were great and the restaurant was dog friendly. We also ate at Th Lynx which is a Chinese restaurant not far from Davinda's. They are also dog friendly. We had a lovely sweet and sour chicken and rice. If you are fit it is easy getting around Leysin but it is quite hilly. There are car parks and spaces to park near the shops. There are many sporting activities available in Leysin as well as health and beauty clinics. Leysin is very clean and there are even bags available to clear up after your dog.

The accommodation was perfectly located, within walking distance from Leysin center. It was `perfectly equipped with all the amenities for a relaxing time between the mountains, it has also a barbecue and the garden was full equip with benches, deck chairs... and furthermore was pet friendly. Also, the apartment had incredible views and you can enjoy it outside in summer with plenty of sun (we enjoyed it a lot in the garden) and also inside as it has a huge window looking the mountains.

Leysin is a beautiful mountain village and this property is in a convenient location. It was clean and very suitable for my needs. My arrival was a little confusing at first then I got a message saying where to find the keys and all was well. I did appreciate the owner checking in via messages during my stay. The apartment itself is bright and comfortable. The deck is lovely for morning coffee or an evening drink. The view is excellent. I would be happy to stay here again.

Chalet Serpolet- Studio was beautifully decorated, with cosy furnishings. It was very clean and had lots of utensils to use for a self catering stay. The chalet was close to all local amenities with a very short walk to the cable car. The area was beautiful, quiet and a great place to ski. The hosts Chris and family are lovely and very accommodating. This was our first time visiting beautiful Switzerland and I could not fault one thing. Thank you

- Florence was not only crystal clear in her communication, but she was also super helpful and thoughtful (e.g. offering to pick my friends and I up from the Leysin train station if we needed and sending us back some items we'd left behind) - The chalet is incredible, well-equipped and super cosy. - The location is great with a wonderful view and just 10-15' walk from the centre of town - We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back!
It's a large ski-resort hotel with hundreds of rooms catering to families and bus tours. It does this very well and is reasonably priced (by Swiss standards). If you go half-board, there is a buffet dinner and breakfast, both with a good choice. Even the cheapest bedrooms are a reasonable size, although the fittings are basic and somewhat tired. There are great views from the valley-facing rooms. The pool is a good size and free.
Charming bed and breakfast on a working farm (full of cute animals - rabbits, fluffy little cows, lamas, donkeys, goats ...). The studios are spacious and comfortable. Nespresso machine in the room. There is no AC, which is fine at this high altitude location, but Americans used to freezing rooms in the summer may have a hard time.
Located in the lower (and cutest) part of the village, within a 5-10 min walk to Leysin-village station. The skibus is passing just in front of the hotel every hour so super easy to reach the ski departure. Really friendly & helpful staff. Eventually stayed one more night.
Leysin
Recommended for those who are looking more for authentic hospitality rather than a hotel experience. Angie was very friendly and helpful to make our stay enjoyable. Very nice breakfast and tips for the village.
Leysin
fantastic view from the balcony; nice and spacious living room; utensils to prepare raclette and fondue; 4 minutes walk to the shop, bakery and restaurants
Great view and very walkable to the shops in Leysin. Also great access to hiking trails from Leysin. Extremely clean studio and fast feedback from owner.
Good sized apart-hotel. Clean and great views. The hosts made it easy explaining how to get to the property and how to get the keys.
Staff and accommodations were lovely. Restaurant was wonderful. Looking forward to ski holiday this winter.
A lot cheaper than the other hotels but we shortly realized why.
