Facilities are gorgeous, plenty of wood around us, big windows allowing forest views. Long lobby with several chairs and comfortable sofas. Trails are spectacular with the exception of La Leona because lack of water during our visit. But fantastic views and well signaled. The room was very comfortable and warm. No wifi into the rooms is a nice experience. If needed, we have the long lobby to be connected. Excellent breakfast.

We returned to Huilo Huilo to celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary. Such a special place. The property and grounds are stunning. The dining options were lovely. All staff were very friendly and happy. Special thanks to Maria Jose for making our stay special. We especially loved the Volcano at Sunset excursion. Claudia, Rodrigo and Rodrigo did an amazing job. We’ll be back!

Very nice home. Great customer service with communication with owner and also the caretaker met us there and came by the next day to make sure everything was ok.

The location was amazing. Right on the creek, quiet, 1 minute walk to the lake to swim. We really didn't interact with staff much so can't comment on that.

The landscape is beautiful! The view from every window and terrace was of the forest. The terrace also has a view of the river. We were only there one night so we didn’t get to enjoy the space fully. The cabin itself is also lovely with a rustic wooden design. Simple but comfortable.

El Refugio de Hadas y Elfos is located in Puerto Fuy, just 2.6 miles from Puerto Fuy and 24 miles from Coñaripe Hot Springs.

The location is superb, in the middle of the rainforest, surrounded by tall trees and birds. The house has a very cool design, full of natural wood, double height living/dining area, reasonable kitchen, very nice beds, good water pressure, good set of utensils, toiletries provided for a relaxed stay. Hot tub (tinaja) was a plus, though it took a very long time to heat up. It is recommended to arrive on a 4x4 tall vehicle, the access could be very difficult. The electric-heating balance is rather delicate, make sure you can be there every evening early to run the compressor, otherwise the house looses power and heating. We had some difficulties with that since we were there for a wedding at Puerto Fuy and could not always be on top of the power schedule. Also, the compressor makes a lot of noise, so you don't want to use it too late at night - there are houses nearby and everyone wants peace and quiet. We had another issue not related to the upkeep of the house (accidental water pipe breakage on the street below), which put additional strain on our stay the first 12 hours, but was handled by the owner and the housekeepers. Overall very nice stay with some things to keep in mind while planning.
