BrazilBoth the amenities and the host were outstanding. One of the best Booking experiences I ever had. The room was perfect. Only a half hour uber from Medellin, and it felt like we were in the middle of nature. The sound of the charco Ayurrá was incredible. I would definitely reccomend, and hope to return. Let’s see the pro and cons… pros mall and grocery store is a...
Let’s see the pro and cons… pros mall and grocery store is a couple of blocks away so you can get everything you want there ( exchange money, buy snacks, drinks, alcohol, great restaurants 3rd floor at mall, gym since I work out etc etc. ) and if you want more authentic Colombia food go up one block to find plenty of that and up 5-6 blocks with ton more restaurants and a park that everyone is gather were you can relax and chill with the locals. The only con is the hotel doesn’t offer more options in food for breakfast and room service but I know what I paid and they were great with everything else especially service, amazing friendly well above and beyond.

Envigado is fine, not that special, but an OK area.
Envigado is fine, not that special, but an OK area. A few stylish cafes a few blocks away in the Junin area, but lots of average bars with two or three stupid TV sets showing sports games that no one, of course, is watching. Only one out of every four does not have an attention grabbing awful TV, so it kinda cuts down the choices.
Medellin is a nice forested city and that is what makes Envigado good: as a part of a pleasant city.

A gorgeous town square with awning covered pedestrian...
A gorgeous town square with awning covered pedestrian friendly shops and restaurants surrounding the square. Sat at a street table in the shade and watched the world go by!! Also a casino there!! Thoroughly enjoyed the square several times during my stay.

As noted this was almost a perfect "10" place.
As noted this was almost a perfect "10" place. Great location and value. The small problems we had could be easily fixed with clear bilingual informaiotn available at time of check in about the jacuzzi, sauna, and BBQ. We did not understand from the listing that any use of these items were chargeable by individual use and so it did add to the cost over a 6 day stay. The set up with the security guys in the lobby was challenging and caused some stress during the stay which could be easily avoided with clear information about how it works upon arrival.

This is a great city with some of the best malls I have ever...
This is a great city with some of the best malls I have ever seen. Lot's of different food choices. Be warned that Spanish is the only language spoken here. People are very friendly. Relax and enjoy. The service in restaurants is very relaxed so you need to chill and just enjoy the experience. Viva Mall and Gloria de Gloria are must sees. As an American I felt very safe. Please don't come here or any country where you are flashing your real or imagined wealth. It is offensive and can get you in trouble. Colombia is a beautiful country that is for the adventurous and not the weak at heart. Cabs are available and you will have access to the cleanest metro in the world
