This place is paradise. We saw more animals here than anywhere else so far in Costa Rica. Even though it is just off the main highway, it is the jungle. The property is large, and full of trees. A troupe of monkeys comes to visit almost everyday. There are agouti, coati, iguana, toucans, hummingbirds, and at night, not far away, coyotes. There is an absolute symphony of nature sounds. The owner, Bettina, and her daughters, are lovely. The breakfast is great - fresh fruit, fresh buns, eggs, cereal, coffee. It kept us going all day. The hotel is ideally situated for visiting the Nauyaca Waterfalls, Marino Ballena National Park and the Uvita beach, Hacienda Baru nature trails, the Alturas Wildlife Sancturary, and more. There is a lovely swimming pool. We would do an excursion in the morning, and hang out by the pool in the afternoon. We were here for six nights, and had a fantastic time. Would definitely visit again.

This place is pretty much perfect. The attention to detail is amazing, we had everything we needed in our room including both pool towels AND packable beach towels. We had the family room which was very spacious and had two bathrooms and two showers; this was amazing to have with two kids. David was an amazing host, he helped us with everything we asked, and the breakfast was really good too. The hotel is a stone's throw from the beach and we saw so much wildlife! The pool is large but not very deep, the kids enjoyed it a lot. The location is perfect, right between Uvita and Manuel Antonio so it's easy to visit both if you wish. We spent 4 nights there and wished we could stay longer!

The bedroom and washroom are nice and roomy but the thing that makes this place amazing is the screened in kitchen and sitting area. It’s such a nice space to have a morning coffee or sit when it’s dark and listen to the sounds of night time. Also when we were there it was possible to swim in the nearby river which was very nice.

The main detail that attracted us to this hotel was the adults only part of the advertisement. Then when looking at the pictures we fell in love with the decor and the peacefulness we felt just looking at them. The room was large (probably the largest in the hotel?) and very comfortable. The room had four components, the bathroom area, two consecutive rooms and a sitting area at the front of the room. The AC worked really well but mainly in the room where it was situated and a bit in the room next door but not as much out in the sitting room. They have a common kitchen area where we cooked breakfast daily and others also made lunch/dinner. The pool and outside lounge area were very nice and relaxing to chill daily. The room was really quiet, very good for sleeping. The town of Dominical is a bit secluded but there are lots of different restaurants and shops around, although the food is not great at least there are options but the prices are USA prices so that's a bummer. The hotel does not have a dedicated space for a group yoga practice but there is a small covered area where one can practice but it only fits a few mats.

The size and style of the room was really good. The garden is now greener and more dense than in the photos and provides ample shadow for a siesta in one of the hammocks (which could be a bit more comfy ;-)) They provide a kitchen in case you want to cut your expenditures or you are just in the mood for cooking. Speaking of which: The restaurante opposite to the hotel makes good breakfast (huge portions)
