Anyone looking for an off the beaten path true Costa Rica experience would really enjoy this place! The owner and his family live next door and provided us with a tour of the property, highlighting the verity of plants they grow, including 3 types of coconuts, several types of bananas, vanilla, cacao, sugar cane, wild ginger, turmeric, and several types of fruits. The best part is, we got to sample all the freshly grown products that were in season while we were there. They also offer delicious traditional homemade meals using locally sourced ingredients for a very reasonable price, which I highly recommend! While the house itself is off a remote dirt road, it is only about a 15 minute drive to Playa Carrillo beach, which in our opinion, was one of the best beaches we've been to. There is also an amazing little restaurant, Restaurante El Dorado, off the same dirt road as the house. Note, if going to El Dorado for dinner, be sure to stop in during to day to make sure they will be open that night since the woman who owns the restaurant literally runs the restaurant by herself. Everything about the house and experience far exceeded our expectations! The house itself is very clean and modern while fitting perfectly into the beautiful natural surroundings. If you're looking for a party house or touristy area experience, this is not the place for you. However, if you're looking to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Costa Rica, and experience the authentic local culture an delicious traditional food, this house is perfect!

The hotsprings were fenomenal and the restaurant and the food was exellent. We enjoyed the hike and seeing the animals at the farm. We also enjoyed seeing all the coffee plants all around us and actual people working picking the coffee beans. It was a very nice touch to get the sweet treats in our room. The villas are absolutly beautiful and very clean and so unique with all the nice features in every corner you look at with handles made out of coffe tea pots and coffee tin mugs and kettle for the sink. The pine features surrounding the crownmolding and baseboards and sutters matching the furniture was very beautiful!! Very beautiful place and the nature and flowers all around abolutely amazing and the views from all hotsprings outstanding and breathtaken! A must see place!! We will definetly be back and will bring more people there. Access was easy no 4 wheel drive needed.

Clean and modern room within a small building containing just 2 rooms upstairs and an apartment downstairs. Very quiet location set in the well maintained and beautiful gardens of a coffee plantation. Michael (the owner?) met us and showed us the facilites in the room and gave us suggestions for what to do in the area. We had great views of the gardens and lake from the balcony, from which we saw loads of birds every morning (Toucans, Woodpeckers, Hummingbirds, Oropendolas, and many more). The restaurant was just a 2 minute walk away, and served great breakfasts and meals. This was the final hotel on our 3 week tour around Costa Rica and I would rate it as the best of anywhere that we stayed.
