The hotel is as close as you can get to the entrance for the Chirripo National Park. The rooms are nice, simple and with everything you need. The staff is really helpful and nice. There's even a physiotherapy place located in the hotel. The bonus of this place is that you can leave your car park there until you come back from the hike and they also lend you the showers afterwards.

Wonderful stay to kick off our Cerro Chirripó hike. The room was clean and cosy, and we had a great night’s sleep before our ascent. The communal areas were particularly well designed, with a living room overlooking a large terrace. Yoga mats were provided, along with towels to take down to the river. The kitchen was a dream to cook in, with organic fruit from the hosts’ own farm and an array of spices. The hosts provided everything we needed for our trek. They looked after our car and bags, lent us hiking poles, and even offered us a shower when we returned from the refuge for a small fee. Highly recommend Casa Colibrí, especially for those heading to Chirripó.

Very friendly manager, we had to change our booking as one family member was injured and was unable to hike and he found a creative solution
