The apartments were clean and comfortable, good internet and amazing owners, that took great care of us. Super tasty breakfast and great atmosphere. Also great value for money, considering how nice the room was.

Gorgeous views, amazing pool, super comfortable room (great mattress), excellent food in the restaurant at at a reasonable price, friendly/competent staff, wildlife friendly surroundings.

We had fantastic days at Guapata Lodge. The standard is admittedly very simple, but the location, the nature, and the hospitality are amazing. Giovanni showed us sloths in the branches right above our heads. He gave us the very best tips on what we should see, called his contacts and arranged activities for us even though we were far too late, and he was always present in a way that truly made an impression. The highlight of our stay was New Year’s Eve 2025. When we entered the lodge restaurant that evening, Giovanni and his family had surprisingly decorated the entire place. A table was reserved for us, extra waitstaff had been hired, and a DJ played music for dancing, sing-alongs, and competitions. We will never forget this evening, which was full of joy and warmth—and we will never forget Giovanni.

Everything was perfect, our host was very nice and available for every questions we had. The pool and the terrace have beautiful view to the sea and you can observe lot of birds from those places. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel is very well located, close to Uvita and Park Marino Ballena.

Our visit to this lodge was unforgettable!The rooms and all the property have a very special charm:) Everything was clean and very much thought about. We enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was amazing and plenty, they cooked eggs from their own chickens! Owners' hospitality was exceptional, it was pleasure to meet such a wonderful couple! We hike the trails and visited hot springs pool nearby. Highly recommend this place for families and couples, you will not regret:)

Very beautiful and clean, nice landscape and staff. Good restaurants nearby

Great clean casitas where we got real good use of the fully equipped kitchen and the private little garden. Both the sun beds and the two seat chair area made for a relaxed outdoor living. A comfy bedroom with an excellent AC made the stay perfect. Great pillows on a good double bed. The spacious bathroom, equipped will all necessary amenities, had a walk-in shower of type rainshower+handheld. Good pressure and cold + hot water. A great bonus was all the amenities provided, spices/oil for cooking, coffee, regular and beach towels and a beach bag. Fans in the ceilings helped to ventilate. There is a clothing hanging line in the back of the house. The shared pool (among guests housing the five units) was clean and had a great temperature, surrounded by five sunbeds. Pool toys also available. Very well planned parking, offering roof to shade the cars. Entry/exit using a garage door clicker (provided by the host). The hospitality is of a high level, the hosts made our stay very comfortable. I would definately come again. Location is great, just a short drive on the dirt road and you’re on the main road packed with supermercados and restaurants. Easy drive to both beaches and Tamarindo town.
