Set in the Plesivec Ski Resort district of Abertamy, Hotel Orion provides ski-to-door access and a terrace. The pictures are exactly what you see on the website. There was ample parking for all hotel guests. Our room was clean and well-prepared upon our arrival. The hotel is located directly on the Plesivec viewing tower and remarkably close to most attractions. There's a lot of different things that you could do to keep yourself entertained. The swimming pool was a great bonus. My family and I loved our stay there!
Located in the Krušné Mountains, just 1640 feet from the ski slopes and 1.9 mi from Bozi Dar, Penzion Villa Rosse offers cozy rooms with attached bathroom with free WiFi and a garden. Very careful owner, very clean, breakfast and dinner are great, quiet place, excellent for relaxing.
Located in Abertamy, 22 mi from Annaberg-Buchholz, Apartmány Michaela provides a garden and free WiFi. A dishwasher, a microwave and fridge are also provided in the kitchen, as well as a kettle. Very new appartment, top equipment, big rooms, bathroom and kitchen. Even we had nothing to pay for our dog.
Located in the Ski Areal Plešivec in Krusne Hory, Horská chata Zelené Údolí offers en-suite accommodations, a restaurant, a garden, a terrace and ski storage. The most friendly and helpful staff I ever met in Czech. Everything was 110% clean and the cooking was delicious. You can either have Pilsner as a beer or take local area beer. Vegetarian, pet and mountain biker friendly. Placed next to a ski lift/mountain trail park. Definitely coming back.
Located in Abertamy, 27 mi from Bad Elster, Penzion Trampska Bouda provides a restaurant and free WiFi. Nice quiet place with a lovely garden and a few small ponds where you can relax and/or even do some fishing:) The apartments are a bit retro with old-fashioned furniture and equipment but everything was very clean and comfortable. The owner is easy-going, we enjoyed the privacy and quiet atmosphere.
Small city with only a few restaurants. Without booking during weekend is impossible to eat here. So many possibilities where to have a flat or "pension". Not so far /15 km) from the slopes.
It's a great area for walking. The bus stand is in the centre and there are reasonable links to other places. But despite EU funded development of the centre, Abertamy itself is sadly run down, so don't expect much by way of facilities etc.
The region has finally found out the meaning of the word "tourism". There's been so many cross-country sking routes or cycling paths marked recently. So you cannot get lost. The nature is trully beautiful. Everything great, except for food. The quality of local restaurants is simply horrible. Nothing but the "traditional" Czech cuisine, i.e. very unhealthy food made of cheap ingredients. About the beer - only the tinpot disgusting brands are being served as if there wasn't so many options in local breweries around the country. The helpfulness and friendliness of restaurants staff is absolutely repulsive. Which is because there is not so much competition and they do not need to fight for the customer. Yet. But let's hope it will change soon.
