Apartmány Rozárka offers self-catering accommodations units with free WiFi access, located in Turnov, 164 feet from the Jizera River and 3.1 mi from the Sychrov Castle. Nice little place, the host Jan was nice and helpful, they have a bunch of info packets on trails to do around the area and he was happy to answer any questions. The bed was comfy and the room was nice. A kitchenette with dishes and glasses and a kettle, a microwave and mini fridge, all welcome. Even though it was cold it was nice having a little patio to step outside. It's located in a decent place between the train/bus station and the square, so it's easy to walk around town and hit the trails from. The heaters were great!
Studia a apartmány U Karla is located at the edge of the village Turnov, close to a park and features a private outdoor pool, free parking and a children's playground. For this price range it was magnificent. It was really spacious. Absolutely perfect. I will try to come here again.
Located in the historical center of Turnov, Penzion Svatý Ján is within 1.2 mi of the Struhy ski region and Dlasuv statek. The property has a restaurant, terrace, and secure garage parking. Location - 20 minute walk from train station. Easy to find. And easy to get to other places from there (swimming pool, hiking trails, restaurants, etc..) Staff - super nice and friendly. Breakfast - delicious! In our case a perfect thing was that we had a small kitchen, just like in apartment. (We had breakfast in hotel and had an option to cook by ourselves) Thank You!

Unfortunately i went during the Coronvirus outbreak as i was accompanying my daughter who was having a medical procedure so not a holiday for me , i also went out of season, other than that i would return for a holiday as its very pretty and lots to see , i didnt see much as lock down was imposed in Czech republic. The hotel staff and nurses at the hospital were very nice but i did find the people surly and rude to the point that i felt uncomfortable.
Place is simply amazing if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of cities. Narrow paths that lead you to ancient castle, towering stone spires and deep forests. Cozy family restaurants sprinkled here and there, low prices, big grocery store in Turnov center, you won't need anything else <3
Turnov is a nice village. But most important is that it is a good starter for the Bohemian Paradise region and visiting the nearby city of Liberec. Stay at penzion Eden and go for a good diner and good atmosphere to restaurant Plaudit (Bezrucova 698) in Turnov.
Turnov is a nice town. Surprisingly clean. Greatest think is of course closed by Hruboskalsko. Place with wonderful scenery of rock formations. Woods. Two old castles. Great place for hiking, bicycling or just easy walking around. Turnov has a very good water world with swimming pool and all kind of water attractions. Just walking distance from Turnov trough a nice area is very good restaurant called Dlaskuv Statek which I would highly recommended. The small village where the restaurant is situated is Dolanky.
The saloon bar was nice, friendly staff and good food. That was the only decent thing about Turnov. The Tesco was very basic and shelf’s weren’t stocked for days. Majority of bars were closed as were shops. I found it to be a depressing and dull place. There is a bus station where you can get the bus into Prague, watch out for the woman who takes the money from you for using the toilets, her manners were disgusting and her attitude awful !
Turnov is the largest town in the middle of Cesky Raj (Bohemian Paradise), which is just as the name suggests. This region is loaded with castles and ruins, massive forests with tall rocks jutting above them, and more hiking than you can shake a tick at. Best to use Turnov as a starting point for nature hikes and castle visits. We visited nearby Mala Skala, and hiked up trails to 2 different castles.
