Really friendly staff in a fantastic location. They made us and our dog feel very welcome. The rooms were spacious and very clean and comfortable. We highly recommend Alt Cues to anyone considering a visit to Bernkastel.

Easy to find Hotel, friendly staff, clean and tidy room with a nice view. We booked Dinner, Bed & Breakfast to make it simple finding supper that night after travelling. I think perhaps the Set Menu was rather limited for the fixed price, perhaps we should have chosen A La Carte (because the choices looked very good!)

The hotel was amazing! Immaculately clean, our room was very big, with attention to the last detail with very comfortable beds and spectacular views! We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and everything was local and delicious. So was the breakfast! The stuff was very friendly, pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended!

Location: it was close to everything on foot. Amazing view to the mountain. Breakfast: basic but everything that someone needs. Beds: comfortable Clean, everyday a lovely asian lady cleans the rooms to every detail! The staff is very friendly. We would definitely go again.

It is never clear with Booking.com if we have to place in thet hotel or if Booking takes the money away from our visa account.

Great location, with safe off-street parking at the rear. Just a minutes walk from the bridge across from Keus to Bernkastel which is just beyond pretty and quaint. We were there just for one night, a couple of days before Christmas and caught the last night of the Christmas markets in town which was magical. We stayed in a very spacious family room on the top floor of the hotel which was warm and comfortable with separate two bedrooms and a large bathroom, almost like an apartment. The breakfast buffet was plentiful European fare and in a charming bright dining room. We would definitely stay again here the next time we are passing that area.

The staff was great. Breakfast was great and a bargin + lots of free parking. We ate both nights at the Italian restaurant downstairs. Owner and staff there were super friendly.

Very good location, great breakfast and excellent service.

Lovely staff, fantastic location great breakfast and dinner

Manager very helpful and friendly to all. He made breakfast time a joy

For a budget hotel, it was fantastic. Extremely clean, respectful staff and good parking.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Amazing balcony to sit and drink a glass of wine, comfortable beds and clean bathroom and room. Enough parking.

We stayed at this hotel on our travels through Germany in 2025, and it turned out to be the most comfortable hotel we’ve visited all year. At first glance, it might seem unassuming or even a bit odd, but inside, everything is truly designed for the guests’ comfort. There’s an excellent sauna complex, fantastic mattresses, and all the amenities you need in the room. The interior is admittedly quirky, but it’s all very pleasant. Heated bathroom floors, a spacious shower, and clean, chlorine-free tap water made the stay feel even more luxurious. Breakfast was diverse and fresh, and there was a wonderful Italian restaurant with speedy service and delicious, delicately seasoned food—not oversalted like in many other places. The wine selection was excellent, and the staff was genuinely kind.

Staff is very helpful. Location is good. Room is nice.

The Hoffmans Weinstube is in a very convenient location for visiting Bernkastel, it is literally just on the other side of the bridge. The old Bahnhof restaurant nearby (30m) served great food and was handy for a drink. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable, it was on the second floor (no elevator). The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful, fresh and tasty.

We had a room in the part of the hotel on the river, with a balcony, so the view was lovely. We reserved a parking space which was directly outside. Communication with the hotel was very good and the manager even went to the trouble of sending us photos of the room.

Wonderful hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We ran into a lot of traffic on the way to the hotel, and it meant we were going to arrive well after the check-in time. I let them know, and someone waited for us. The rooms have a traditional German feel to them, and there was plenty to choose from for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

Cute hotel in a great location. The breakfast was wonderful.

A beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The room was large yet quaint with plenty of room for us and our dog. The breakfast was delicious, with a large array of options.

Luxury by the river. Amazing scenery, pure air. The room, perfectly situated for us, dog family, straight to the garden. Breakfast, utter perfection. Staff. Perfect.

Great location,Food and staff.Would stay there again.
