This hotel is set in a modern 17-storey building on Berlin's Kurfürstendamm boulevard. Nice, clean and modern property. Hotel responded promptly to my questions yet before our stay. Smooth and fast check-in, although the hotel was sold out completely. Hospitable staff both at reception and cleaning services. We came by car and were able to park in a large garage right inside the hotel´s building. Parking was free of charge for the whole stay! Rooms are very comfortable, very quiet, with comfy beds, large wardrobes for clothes, brand new equipment, plenty of towels. We stayed at an especially spacious suite with 2 bathrooms and glamorous view of the city. Both bathrooms were super nice, we felt like home when taking shower. Breakfast was also excellent with a wide choice and many tables to serve the full capacity. We loved fresh pastry and large selection of fruits. Other pluses include 4 fast operating lifts, ideal location for visiting Berlin ZOO (15 min. walk), ideal location at U2 metro line, the one serving many Berlin´s attractions - Alexanderplatz, city center, Olympic stadion, Maurer park with famous flea market. Our stay at RIU was an ideal holiday. I strongly recommend the hotel.

Flew into Schönefeld which is directly connected with public transport to the city. Stayed at the Intercity hotel at Ostbahnhof but there is also one directly next to the Airport. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient, the room clean and comfortable. Restaurant/bar including all you can eat buffet breakfast. One outstanding point is you get free public transport travel for the duration of your stay in Intercity hotels. In Ostbahnhof the station has enough shops to fill a small town! Berlin center is easily reached on the transport network and the hotel provided a map and a timetable. Sections of the Berlin wall, now used as an Artistic display are within walking distance of the hotel.
Berlin in a huge city - we had just come from Copenhagen so it felt massive in comparison. It had some beautiful old buildings and fantastic architecture but also lots of very ugly 60s high-rises! The areas around the cathedral and TV tower were our favourite - it was lovely to sit and watch the world go by on the cathedral green. We did a hop on hop off tour on our first day, which is always a good way to see the sights. Coming out of the U at the Brandenburg Gate was really impressive. The views from TV tower were amazing but it was an expensive trip! We had purchased a Berlin Welcome Card which saved us loads of money on transport - would definitely recommend. Strolling along the East Side Gallery and then stopping for a drink at the Pirates bar by the river was one of our favourite things. Berlin has a nice, relaxed, friendly vibe - everyone seems to be having a nice time! The U is a bit old and smelly, like the London underground - in need of a bit of updating - and not quite as efficient as the metro in Copenhagen (I think we had been spoilt!). We found Berlin quite reasonably priced - especially outside the centre. The public toilets are dreadful - few and far between, largely out of order and you have to pay to use (many of the city centre cafes and restaurants charge also). We stayed in the Kreuzberg area which we really liked and just a short U trip into the centre. On the whole we've really enjoyed our Berlin experience and would recommend to others.
Berlin is huge and very busy. I visited in August, which was quite humid and overcast in weather. The cost of travel is good value, and the transport system is brilliant. The S-bahn, U-bahn, buses and trams all run frequently and link up with each other at various points throughout the city. Some areas are grimy, with lots of graffiti and anti establishment vibes, whilst others (Mitte for example) are more polished. The food and drink is plentiful with lots to choose from, loads of shops and street stalls too. There are even lakes with beaches! Loads of museums and exhibitions to visit, parks and plazas to meander through and markets to browse in. Most people are lovely and friendly but like any city there is the odd grump. I’d say a week in Berlin is a good length of time to explore and enjoy what Berlin has to offer.
A city that offers something for everyone young and older. Most of the people are friendly but you do get a few who speak to you in a rather degrading manner especially 2 of the staff in TV tower a lady at the front door who got very nasty to a member of our group and a female staff member inside who acted like the military police when a group member stepped the wrong way as no sign was in English at that point.
Places around city center are very dirty I would say. At some places I didn't feel safe to walk alone as woman. However city center was easy to access, interesting spots nearby each other, very good public transportation (recommend to download BVG app). Many restaurants showed on Google maps were permanently closed. Local ATMs charge withdrawal fee (for 10 EUR wanted 3.95 EUR). Most of public toilets and restaurant toilets are paid! (and don't accept card) Better to have some cash with you. Google maps sometimes don't reflect reconstruction on the road and in case bus station is moved ain't shown on Google maps.
Berlin is a great city in many aspects. I loved to visit some places in Friedrichhein and Kreuzberg. There are always many interesting and modern markets and business to walk around and get inspired. Berlin also provides a great cultural experience with all the museums and exhibitions to visit. A hit in my last trip was the Botanical Garden, stunning! There is always a reason to come back! :)
Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Berlin
It was very close to the city centre. It says 5 kilometer on the website which is correct but you are where you need to be very quickly as there are two metro stations with a lot of directions nearby. Also the environment was quiet. The breakfast was good for what you pay for. Not as in a fancy hotel but there is bread, cereal, some fruit, yoghurt, different cheeses and meat, vegetables and cake. If I would go to Berlin again I would go to this hotel as you have what you need for a good price.
Mitte, Berlin
Out of 6 different budget hotels that we slept in during our trip in Germany, this one had overall the least compromises. The room wasn't the most spacious, it was just big enough to not feel squished, the interior was better than good enough, everything was clean, comfortable enough beds, shampoo and soap in the bathroom, half decent wifi, also there was also a nice lobby on the 1st floor. Although nothing spectacular, but for 65€ a night (2 people) I find this is a pretty good value.
Pankow, Berlin
Good access from motorway, no restrictions on parking on nearby streeets. There is washing mashing and tumble dryer. Kitchen is equipped. Tramm station outside is convenient if you want to get to city centre, €3/person. It was 3 of us so on the way back taxi cost €18. Self check in is brilliant if you dont know your estimated arrival time as there in Germany it seriously does matter as small hotels not paying staff to wait for you if you late.
Everything was perfect during my stay in Berlin. This hotel located in the best area of Mitte next to the island of the museums and the metro station, is very smartly designed by people who are really expert in hospitality. In every corner of the hotel you can feel the elegance and the professionalism of the stuff. Special thanks to Benjamin at the reception who was very kind and helpful and the ladies who offered the great breakfast ! Thank you !
The hotel was comfortable and excellently located in relation to the Altstadt/ ex-East Berlin City Centre (Spree Museuminsel, Unter den Linden, Alex, etc., as well as Scheunen- and Spandauviertel). My request I receive rooms on the top floor was automatically fulfilled. With the additional room containing armchairs and TV, there was a feeling of spaceousness untypical of most hotels. They guaranteed ideal peace and tranquility.
The location was very close to train station. Made it extremely easy to move around the city. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was very delicious with a lot of variety to choose from. The rooftop bar has a beautiful view of the city. The music was also great. I loved everything about this hotel. If I ever make it back to Germany I will definitely be staying here again. And will recommend to friends and family.
It is one of the best located hotels with three very closely metro stations (Alexanderplatz, Museumisland, Hachescher Markt - exit through Marie kierche not to the markt!!!). Tram station is just opposite tot he hotel and with a 9-euro ticket (special for tourists from June, July and August - it can be bought from metro machines for tickets) you can travel whole Berlin and regional trains from whole Germany.
Wow, the airconditioning didn’t work so they gave me an upgraded room which was a suite. Super nice. Addelie, Jennifer and Oscar at the front desk were fantastic. Super professional unlike a lot of properties in Berlin. Everything was just the way I like it, really one of the best in Berlin for the money by far. Also minibar in the room!! And a 4 star restaurant in the hotel just adds to stay.
A great little hotel. No frills but very clean, well staffed and so convenient for exploring the city centre. We were out and about each day so needed somewhere secure, safe and comfortable for a base. BLNCTY Hotel was perfect for this. Turn left for tourist 'must dos' or right for the wonderful Berlin Mall.
I liked it because it was clean. which is most important. also the location was just perfect. right by the Kudamm stores and boutiques. lots of restaurants and a clean, beautiful environment. When im travelling to Berlin again, we will come back to this hotel for sure. Thank you
Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Berlin
The Aparthotel was perfect. It was located only a few meters from 2 metro lines which made getting around Berlin easy. A lot of superb restaurants are located in the vicinity. The price of the stay was great. Overall, it was one of the best stays we have been in away from home
I liked a lot this hotel. Everything was perfect: clean, very nice staff, warm and comfortable. So close to the main attractions. If you have to visit Berlin I suggest you to stay here. And if I go to Berlin again I definitely will stay in Mercure Hotel Berlin Mitte.
This is a great hotel! High quality throughout. The breakfast was superb, the staff friendly, professional and very efficient both at the reception and breakfast. Great job guys! Best hotel in Berlin and great value for money. Keep up the great job! Professor Thomas
It was a wonderful stay at the H+ Hotel Berlin Mitte. This hotel was right by a train station which made getting around very easy. The room was very spacious and the breakfast offered every morning had a great variety. Really enjoyed my stay here.
Really good location - handy for the station, so it was easy to get in to the city centre. Good shopping mall and restaurants nearby. Overall , we felt the hotel was very comfortable and made an ideal base for exploring Berlin.
The location was very nice since it was very near to the city centre, a walking distance to hop on hop off station, surely it was amazing. and the staff at the hotel was so kind and nice, i hope to be back to Berlin
The hotel's location is next to Berlin Hbf, which was very convenient. This is a the best point for this hotel. Plus there is Sight Seeing Spot right in front which is another bonus point.
one the best location in Mitte. very close to city center. breakfast is delicious.
