It was good to do the hop on hop off bus tour with gray line. We did the green and the red tour which incorporated the 1hour boat trip. The tv tower was worth going up. The city pass was great as we did not have to worry about bus or train tickets as it covers all public transport and museums and discounts throughout different events around BerlinAAnonymous - Scored 1010

Berlin is a whole world, there is so much one can do that it never ends. Unfortunately we were there during the Soccer European championship and it was full of people especially around the Reichstag and Brandenburger Tor. Moreover, the Pergamon was closed and we did not know. But it was still a great stay with everything for everyone (including my two teens nephews).

Berlin was a wonderful surprise.
Berlin was a wonderful surprise. Especially the Zoo which was simply amazing! Aquarium was also great experience as well was the East Gallery. Public transport was so logical and easy to use as well very cheap (for 5 persons is available special travel card at a cost of €31). We used all means of transport during 1 day.

Seems to have cool nightlife spots, but since we were there visiting my sister and her two young kids, we didn't get exposed to much of that. Food and drink cheaper than US, which was nice. Our apartment rental had no AC, which is not uncommon, but still sucked in 80+ degree weather and high humidity. Windows barely opened. Huge thunderstorms appear out of nowhere that weren't forecasted. Train was relatively easy, although I had a German speaking relative with me most of the time. Overall, there's always something to do and public transportation is one of the best in Europe. You can catch a train at any time of the day. Unlike some countries like Brussels (which ironically is the heart of the EU), where all public transportation halts at midnight... The food wasn't the best, but it was better than many places I've been to.Pedro
