Potsdam is the nice way of breaking up a week in Berlin plenty to see. take time to study the Tourist map. We loved the Russian houses, the Dutch quarter and the spectacular walk along the river from Glienicke Brüke (the Spy bridge) to Cecilienof Palace. Sanssousi Castle is small as far as castles go and interesting to visit. The Neues Palace is actually under renovation so only selected areas are shown and apart from the grotto room (worth seeing) it was very similar to Sanssousi. Dont forget to go down Brandenburger Strasser and have Tea or Coffee.

The region around Brandenburg is very nice with a lot of water and boat trips. Very suitable also for bicycles. Visit the villages around the Havelsee. A cosy restaurant is the Crocodile in the Hauptstraße. The centre is around Hauptstraße, Steinstrasse and Neustadt Markt. Recommend eating Kuchen.

The fortress (Burg) is the main attraction. It has a terrific, hands-on exhibition that is very enjoyable for kids and parents alike. It wasn't yet warm enough to enjoy the water park so no comment on that. Because of the easy train connection to Berlin, Beeskow is great for a weekend getaway or other short visit. We enjoyed strolling though the city, which features one of the longest city walls still standing in Brandenburg. We also enjoyed our walks and runs through the forest. Beeskow is easy to manage without a car, and also has a good bus network to neighbouring villages.

Dutch quarter great for easy food and drink We walked and cycled everywhere but there is plenty of cheap parking in ncps. Great boat trips available all sizes and shapes from river cruise to huckleberry Finn style floats

We came to shed jet lag from Australia. Quiet historic town, good for walks into history and the mixed results of GDR/post-GDR architecture. Anyone interested in early history should spend 3 hours in the local archaeology museum. Dom also a Great introduction to Brandenburg history, as was the Slav open-air museum.

We had no breakfast. There were no restaurants or shops nearby but we could order pizzas online and this service was excellent. The staff at the hotel was very good and helpful, especially the young lady at the reception. The taxi from Brandenburg Airport to the hotel seems to be the best option if you have baggage. I was told there was public bus transportation, too, but we could not find the initial stop. There is also a shuttle but it costs 7 euro per person in one direction which is too expensive.

We had to take a taxi nevertheless for 22 € but even with that it was cheaper than other hotels closer to the airport. In general the room was pretty ok given the price, the only thing we miss is having a mini bar or fridge in the room. I can recommend it for a one night stay nearby Brandenburg

Being an airport hotel, the location at the new Berlin-Brandenburg airport in Schoenefeld right next to the terminal was great. Literally, a 50m walk to the terminal building and the train station is right next to it. The staff were great, friendly, helpful. The room had a good size and was very quiet, despite the airport location. The breakfast buffet was extremely extensive and top notch. I would stay there again.

The room is very comfortable with the lights and the view is great..although away from the city centre, but you can spend a pleasant time in the lobby. They offer good meals and drinks.
