Easy to find, in a quiet place near a lake. The owner was super kind and helpful: she waited for me beyond reception time (that should be till 6 pm) and gave me information about restaurants (unluckily the hotel restaurant was closed on Mondays) and coffee shops. There is a comfortable parking for free. The room was nice and the bathroom ok.

Great place to stay in Freyburg if you have a car or a bicycle. About 30 minutes walk from the centre of town (past vineyards) and about 15 minutes uphill walk to the castle. The hotel has a good view from the restaurant terrace down onto vineyards. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were fine. The restaurant has a good balanced range of fresh food and a decent selection of local wines. The outdoor terrace is a great place to sit on a sunny day. The breakfast buffet offers a good spread of choices.

This is a really lovely hotel, with a nice atmosphere, very well-appointed rooms and an excellent breakfast offer. The room was very well thought out and like that the bathroom had an outer window. Lovely restaurant too and excellent choice of local wines, which is just what we wanted.

A bit on the pricier side but man, was it worth it. It had all the obvious amenities (parking lot, a nice room with the necessary stuff, pleasant breakfast) but on top of them it had a gorgeous view over the nearby valley and a restaurant with food that I find myself thinking about even now.
