I informed the hotel about my hip problem. They took care and give a room on the ground floor nearby the reception so I didn’t had to walk to far. Same in the restaurant & breakfast, very helpful people, taking care of me. This has an exceptional, great experience

The Great North is a true gem! The revamped interior is stunning, from rooms to restaurant, with beautiful decor in every corner, impressive photography on the walls, and gorgeous lighting fixtures - truly reminiscent of the most stylish hotels in metropolitan cities. The gardens are gorgeous, the staff warm and welcoming, and even our 6-year-old felt at home everywhere. Dinner was delicious with the right variety of tasty, locally-sourced dishes, and the breakfast buffet was a feast — fresh, diverse, including a juice maker and cooked-to-order eggs. Our beds were super comfortable, even the fold-out one for our daughter. The indoor walkway to the thermal baths was a welcome convenience, and we had a great time playing in the water and relaxing at the exceptional sauna & spa. Stylish, friendly, and perfectly relaxing, with exceptional attention to every detail — we’ll be back!

Easy access location for passing travellers - close to the A7. Dog friendly with a quiet farm road close by which was great for walking the dog. Late check in possible. We had dinner: it was well made with fresh ingredients. The menu was surprisingly diverse. Very friendly staff. Clean, modern rooms with enough space. Kettle in the room. Good value for money. Charming and unique decor. Off road parking but not secure, however the area is very quiet so not a problem.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They located us in a quiet area of the hotel because we traveled with a dog which was great. Easy parking in front of the hotel with plenty of restaurants and shops a 5 minute walk away.

The place was run by a couple who spoke little English, but we accomplished check-in and getting our Harley parked off-street and undercover fairly easily. Our room was spacious, bright, spotless and well appointed - and it was not an expensive place at all.
