The hosts were very friendly and helped with anything that we needed. Hamburg city center is about 30 minutes drive and there are lots of nice food and shopping options there.

Even though he can't talk in English that much we didn't have any problems communicating with him. Edeka was just beside the apartment so you can buy necessary things easily! Everything was good so far. We enjoyed our stay!
