Breakfast was great, I was given 2 fresh boiled eggs every morning with a large cup of coffee to go. Location was in the middle of Velburg, the castle was a short distance uphill, hiking trails is easily accessible, running paths are easily seen and I had my mountain bike I would've explored more of the hills and mountains.

The attached restaurant had a great dinner (not included) and the included breakfast was very tasty. the only downside was that the room was quite warm, and the hotel had fans in the room already so it was very bearable.

This was an amusing & necessary break on my regular trips...

This was an amusing & necessary break on my regular trips from Vienna to Wales via Luxembourg. Major hotel chains are very convenient but tend to be characterless, but this place is so refreshing & quaint. Nice to know that such places still exist.

It's beautifully situated, surrounded by nature.

It's beautifully situated, surrounded by nature. There's parking in front of the house and a lovely garden. The only downside is that the village has no place to get breakfast. There's no shop, just an old inn that only serves drinks, not food.

In Velburg, you should definitely walk up to the castle...

In Velburg, you should definitely walk up to the castle ruins. The walk isn't far, as you can drive almost all the way to the top. The ruins are worth seeing; not particularly large, but not insignificant either. There's a beautiful view from up there.

Very nice, authentic hotel located in a fairytale like village. They also have a restaurant with local cuisine with good prices. Very good breakfast,lots of variety fresh and tasty. We are definitely coming back!

The hotel is located in nice surroundings, easy to reach from the motorway. The room was spacious and comfortable, the host was nice, the breakfast was fine. Everything was perfect.
