There's a wonderful fish counter here!

There's a wonderful fish counter here! Otherwise, of course, plenty of beach and water sports. Ringkøbing Fjord also offers many possibilities. Alternatively, you can visit the bunkers at Houvigstrand or even see dolphins in the Limfjord, 80km away :) (you might want to book the tour in advance).

The name says it all: white sandy beach as far as the eye...

The name says it all: white sandy beach as far as the eye can see. Located on the North Sea coast, not a tidal flat (comparable to the seaside of Sylt). A word of caution for families with children: the surf is quite strong, and there are undercurrents. However, you can head to the east side towards Ringkøbing Fjord. A trip to the lighthouse is highly recommended – the view is magnificent.

The town itself has grocery stores and many other shops.

The town itself has grocery stores and many other shops. There are also a few good restaurants, such as Lille by Grantland or the fish specialist Rogeri. From Hvide Sande, you can take excursions to Ringkøbing and Søndervig (which has a fantastic dune landscape), highly recommended.

A nice little hotel on the edge of an industrial park.

A nice little hotel on the edge of an industrial park. It was clean and had everything we needed. We didn't find the lack of TVs in the rooms to be a problem. We sat together in the common room and chatted with other guests.

Although many shops in Hvide Sande were closed at the end of...

Although many shops in Hvide Sande were closed at the end of January (for their annual holiday until the beginning of February), our short break was a great way to recharge our batteries. At the times we usually visit Ringkøbing Fjord, crossing the road was nearly impossible due to the many tourist cars. At the end of January, it was very quiet, which we really appreciated.

Hvide Sande is perfectly located for fantastic walks and beach experiences! The town is very cozy and dog-friendly - you can take your pooch with you almost everywhere! Great restaurants, ice cream parlors and nice shops!

The room was very nicely decorated, big and the bed was comfy. Very nice athmosphere in the hotel and the staff were lovely. They don't offer breakfast but they do offer breakfast boxes that you can eat in the nice breakfast room or take away with you to the beach, for example. The location is close to the beach and there are nice restaurants just around the corner.

Central positioned inside town. Window-front heading towards dunes/sea west side what gave a beautiful view on the sunset. Kitchen was equipped with the most necessary stuff. Quite big rooms especially living room what gave a comfortable feeling to chill out even at bad weather days.

The flat was super clean and tidy. Lars is an awesome host. Super flexible regarding checkin & out. When we arrived, he showed us around and mentioned that there was cool beer in the fridge. I thought it was a joke... but we found two beers and a soft drink for my son ;-)
