The location was great! Very clean, all the comforts of home and many great spots to just relax and enjoy the sound of the ocean. The people even better!! We really did enjoy the local culture and everyone was happy to help us out in providing any information we needed. Shout out to the Nets of Reef Restaurant downstairs. Food was fabulous as was the service.. greeted with a smile every time!

Very friendly and welcoming host couple: Marta and David, who are lovely people. Very reasonably priced accomodation and meals. Delicious breakfasts and dinners, freshly prepared with locally grown vegetables and fruits and locally caught fish. Beautiful view of northern volcanic mountains and Cabrits National Park, all covered with lush tropical vegetation. Guadaloupe is visible on clear days. Spectacular sunsets. Close to Purple Turtle Beach, Toucari Bay and Batibou, the latter of which is Dominica's most beautiful beach.

The location is up a high ridge above the village of Calibishie. For the island, the settlement has a wide variety of interesting places to eat and drink and the hosts are happy to recommend their favourites. The room was very spacious and had a very genuine island feel with its furnishings and decorations. Breakfasts served outside in the garden (except when raining heavily) were always interesting with island fruits, juices, breads and jams with other goodies. As one expects in Dominica, the garden was lush with interesting plants and one feels safely integrated with the local community when staying here which was my main reason for choosing to stay here.
