From the very first moment, I felt completely at ease. This place isn’t just beautifully located – it truly has everything you could wish for. A space to relax, recharge, and feel at home. What truly made this stay unforgettable was the incredible hospitality. Javier is one of those rare people you remember – genuinely warm, attentive, and effortlessly kind. It’s clear he loves what he does, and it shines through in every detail. The Royal River Suites & Spa Aparthotel is a true haven – with a stunning pool, delicious breakfast, and rooms that instantly make you feel comfortable and cared for. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

The service we received was first class. Alex the owner was charming and Pepito was such a fine young man who couldn’t do enough for us. You’d be proud to have him as your son. The breakfasts were different ever morning of our stay ( 3 days ), tasty, very filling and beautifully presented. Excellent value for money, we would certainly return. Even saw humming birds, toucans and Aguti in the garden.

Our room was lovely and had an upstairs terrace with hammocks overlooking the cloud forest. A perfect way to relax!! The pool was very inviting too. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was amazing! Would love to visit again.

Perfect location, overlooking the river, facilities were great, quite spacious and comfortable. The staff were helpful, though communication for non-Spanish speakers was not easy, but workable. Very helpful in helping with tours, attractions and transport.

The stay at Mindo Bird Lodge was excellent. The room may not have been 5 star, but it was comfortable and close to the action. The birds are all around. you can sit under cover and have birds fly right by you. Thev private waterfall is incedible - you feel like you are the only one to have ever been there. Such a great place.

The room we were allocated was large. The bathroom was also a good size. It was very clean. There was good hot water and water pressure. The staff were excellent. The hotel is a little out of the town, but this adds to the charm of the place. You feel like you're in the jungle. At the time of our stay there were no bugs. I would stay here again. I definitely recommend it to this who visit Mindo...so long as you don't mind a 10 min walk to town. I think it's worth the effort.
