The owner was really nice, he helped us a lot (called taxis) and cooked a delicious breakfast and afternoon tea. We could also use the kitchen. The house is beautiful, sorrounded by nature, you can always hear birds and the river. It is really close to the Teleferico Minjoy if you want to take it to go to Cascadas Mindo.

Our room was lovely and had an upstairs terrace with hammocks overlooking the cloud forest. A perfect way to relax!! The pool was very inviting too. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was amazing! Would love to visit again.

Everything - the room and bathroom were beautiful, functional, spotless with a big window to permit bird watching. Pool, Whirlpool and bathing spot in the river make it a place to rest, as well as enjoying everything Mindo has to offer. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There’s an exceptionally good cooked breakfast, vegans and vegetarians catered for. Plenty of birds, butterflies and agoutis to spot in the garden.

Very relaxing stay just 10 minutes walking from the city, no noise, surrounded by lush trees, birds, river. We had fabtastic time here!

Room No.1 is excellent, especially for birders! Margarita was exceptional, very helpful and guided us in the right direction on all information. A+, look no further if you are planning a trip to Mindo! Breakfast was super tasty 😋

I had a great time in this hotel! The suite was modern and comfortable. All the suites have private jacuzzi and balcony. They serve a delicious breakfast, nice and clean swimingpool. The staff was friendly.

The stay at Mindo Bird Lodge was excellent. The room may not have been 5 star, but it was comfortable and close to the action. The birds are all around. you can sit under cover and have birds fly right by you. Thev private waterfall is incedible - you feel like you are the only one to have ever been there. Such a great place.

I love the rustic vibe, the cabana is cozy with great views, and you will disconnect from all your troubles at this place. if you like nature, this is your spot, not fancy or elegant, but rustic, clean, and with nature at your doorstep. The meals and staff were fantastic.. HIGLY RECOMMENDED

This accommodation was on the outskirts of Mindo but within walking distance into town for restaurants and tiendas. The proprietor booked a toucan tour and the viewing site was a very short shuttle ride from the accommodation. The menu food service and included breakfasts were excellent. Staff were very friendly as were the hosteria's dog and cat that also shared the premises. I really appreciated the opportunity to park my motorcycle on the concrete pad in front of my cabin. The premises and landscaping were beautifully kept and it felt like an oasis of nature. The entrance gate was closed each night.

The location was close to town and the bus stop to Quito is less than 10min walking distance. The staff were so warm and accommodating. I didn't want to leave. The room was as per described in the description. The TV has Netflix already set up so you can enjoy some entertainment. This came in handy for me as the only day I had for activities was a wet one, so I stayed in and loved every minute. Not sure what previous people were complaining about with the breakfast. It was a good balanced breakfast enough to keep me full all day and the juice was fresh made. I didn't like egg yolks and the staff went out of their way to make my eggs differently the next morning. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about the accommodation. It is a shame I didn't get to try the pool.
