Every day there was a delicious cooked breakfast. I stayed 5 days and every day the breakfast was different! The dining room has a panoramic view of the river and forest. The sites of Mindo are quick walk away. Dont forget to sample the rich dark chocolate while here!

The room was lovely, really clean and highly finished. The manager was so friendly and helpful. Good advice on what to do and happy to help however she could. It is centrally located but the town is not noisy to no issues there. Breakfast was really yummy. The day I missed it as was out bird watching they have me a free coffee later to compensate, despite it being me that he missed it not them! Loved it so much I stayed an extra night.

The stay at Mindo Bird Lodge was excellent. The room may not have been 5 star, but it was comfortable and close to the action. The birds are all around. you can sit under cover and have birds fly right by you. Thev private waterfall is incedible - you feel like you are the only one to have ever been there. Such a great place.

Everything. This place is a great space to rest, relax, work and enjoy nature. You have to walk 10-15 to the city center but that gives you a lot of peace as you are surrounded by nature. Birds can be seen from the terrace. The room has plenty of space and storage which is great. It has a fully equipped kitchen and rooms are very spacious and clean. So it is the toilet. The staff is very kind, it has a lot of security (automated main gate, CCTV) and they are helpful and reachable. We came for a couple of nights and stayed a week. The Internet is 5G and very solid to stream and do video meetings, so safe for work. Complimentary coffee, tea and kitchen basics. Enjoy your time here!

Hiking in the cloud forest was a special experience. The Cascadas de Nambillo, the Butterly Garden , the birding tour with Marcelo Arias - were all great opportunity to understand local flora and fauna and having a lot of fun.

Mindo is a great little town, and can arrange lots of activities directly in Mindo. I wish we'd have had more time to explore the town, but we were here just for a birdwatching tour -- which was simply amazing!

We very much enjoyed our two days in Mindo.

We very much enjoyed our two days in Mindo. Another day, would have been enjoyable, but we were able to hike through the cloud forest to visit six of the seven waterfalls and enjoyed our time at the butterfly refuge and hummingbird garden on our first day. On our second day, we greatly enjoyed our birding tour and on our way back to Quito had time to stop by Al Mitad del Mundo.

Mindo is in a beautiful area with great opportunities for hiking. We enjoyed the Butterfly farm and the Maya Chocolate demonstration, and had a great meal at a tiny family run restaurant called Persian House.

I chose to head to Mindo instead of staying in the city of...

I chose to head to Mindo instead of staying in the city of Quito as I wanted a place to relax and recoup from my long haul flight and get ready for my Galapagos Experience. It was everything I wanted, I felt safe and had options for dining without having to get taxi’s around. The bird life was amazing and I loved the cloud forest environment.

Mindo has a lot of wonderful nature options. Feeding hummingbirds, the BEST butterfly gardens we have ever visited and we have been to many & really good bird watching - we used Sandra & Romelly at Bird Paradaisio (sp) & had alot of fun & Romelly drove us back safely to Quito but took us on an extra bird sighting trip on the way that was super - wonderful too! The trails to the waterfalls was a lot of fun & the falls are worth the trek although these out of shape older folks didn't make it to them all. The chocolate tour at Yumbos led by Amir was wonderful! We enjoyed both the tarabita & telerifico rides although the last was a bit scary, terrific views! Prices for everything was very reasonable, food may be a bit higher than rest of Ecuador but not too bad. Limited options though as most menus looked almost the same. One place we would definitely come back to. Only the food options were a little lacking. Everything else was fun & it was nice to be out of big cities.

Oswaldo, our Host who treated us with the upmost respect and hospitality, the sweet dog, the nature, the wooden aesthetic. It is really cozy and gives you a true exotic experience. It is important to treat house rules with respect to keep everything clean and nice. The small bar in the garden with pool & futball is really nice, aswell is the Jacuzzi, a true treat. Recommended to anyone who wants to enjoy the Ecuadorian rainforest all the way.

We loved the hotel. So beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and the views amazing. I never has breakfast in such a beautiful place. Mindo is a great place to visit, extremely safe and with many things to do! We recommend the canopy, the bird watching, the waterfalls and the chocolate tour. We also had the transfers organised by the hotel which was very handy and helped us a lot to move from airport to mindo and mindo to cotopaxi!

Absolutely stunning - the rooms and hotel facilities are gorgeous, with lovely outdoor space on the balconies & by the pool. Luis was super helpful with information and organising transport. Breakfast was delicious. Kindly let us store our bags & use the pool on the day we left. Cannot recommend enough.
