Quiet and peaceful hotel with super clean rooms and safe off-street parking. The manager Paola is very kind and welcoming and has all the information and advice you need to explore Cotopaxi and the surrounding region. I slept better at Casa Sakiwa than anywhere else in Ecuador! Throughly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at Ruta de los volcanes. The rooms were clean and with hot water. The location is perfect for the Cotopaxi National Park. Darwin was such a wonderful host. He helped us planning our hike in the park and even helped us with our planning for the next days in Ecuador. Even though one night we were the only guests, the fireplace was lit for us and we got the best meal we had eaten in weeks.

We had a very nice stay at Mateospaxi! Aracely is such a nice and helpful host and does everything to make your stay the best as possible. Everything is very clean and well maintained, the rooms are comfortable and there is a nice outside area with views on the volcanoes. There are 3 little dogs which are very cute! If you want you can also eat there, Aracely cooks herself :) overall very recommended and for us the best option to stay close to Cotopaxi National Park. Ah and there is also Volcán Corazón close by, you can do it as an acclimatizing hike for Cotopaxi. It’s very nice and not crowded at all and Aracely can get you all the information to do it on your own! Thanks a lot!! :)

Hacienda El Porvenir was one of the highlights of our trip to Ecuador. The setting is simply breathtaking, with spectacular views towards Cotopaxi and beautiful grounds that perfectly capture the atmosphere of the Ecuadorian Andes. The entire hacienda is full of character, immaculately maintained, and offers a genuine, authentic experience. The 4-hour horseback ride was outstanding and worth every penny. The horses were well cared for, the guides were professional, knowledgeable and friendly, and the scenery throughout the ride was incredible. Returning to the hacienda for lunch was the perfect finish to a fantastic morning. The food was excellent throughout our stay, and every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. If you're visiting Cotopaxi National Park, I honestly can't think of a better place to stay. We would return without hesitation and highly recommend Hacienda El Porvenir to anyone looking for an authentic, high-quality Andean experience.

Frank is an amazing host! He helped us so much with planning of the trips around. ( El Corazón, Iliniza Norte, Cotopaxi....) Chaupi was our base camp for the acclimatization in mountains in Ecuador. We spent in Frank hostal amazing one week and I can definitely say, that it was the best decision stay in Ilinizas Wasi. You can use a kitchen, pat their dog and cats, use the washing machine. Frank even helped us with booking a guide for Cotopaxi and he recommended us great guide Marco. ( From 8 groups we were the only ones, who reached the summit.) I recommend this place 10/10.!
