beautiful place, beautiful rooms in the most amazing place on Earth Mompiche. Owned by a young family, amazing breakfast included, option of your own room, beautiful rooftop/terrace. the owners go Beyond with helping you with whatever you may need, soon to be the place with the best wifi connection in the whole Village if you are travelling for work. ( i am working full time remotely) everybody is very very nice. owners a D the employees as well. 110% recommended if visiting Mompiche.

Onda Hostel is beautiful; from the moment you open the bamboo gate and walk around the corner you feel like you have entered some type of paradise. The staff only add to that feeling, bringing some chill beach vibes and big smiles. The location is also perfect. Situated 30 seconds from the beach on one side and another 30 seconds to Mompiche's main strip (and food options) on the other side. Thank you for having us, Strawberry, we will definitely be back!

One of the best hostels i’ve ever been. Lot’s of nice paintings. A unique place and the young owner of the Hotel, Martin is extremely nice and helpful and gave us lots of information about Galapagos. His english is awesome. He rescued all his animals from the street. Thanks Martin. Hope to come back again

I went for 3 nights, stayed for 2 weeks! What a perfect place to relax recharge during your trip. Double beds, sheet changes, free breakfast all within metres of the beach. The outdoor kitchen keeps cool when its hot, the room has fans but always has a breeze and the beds are comfortable. Perfect for a low-key beach hostel.

I really recommend Maracumbo hostel to anyone who wants to enjoy Mompiche without being in the middle of the noise :) it’s just 300 metres from the beach, immersed in the nature, a very quiet place. Christian is super super kind and easy going, and he also gives surfing tips ;) Very very recommended!

Mudhouse Hostal was exactly what I was looking for—super laid-back, close to the beach, and full of good vibes. The natural style of the place fits perfectly with Mompiche’s easygoing atmosphere. I spent a lot of time just relaxing in the hammocks, chilling after surfing and reading books. The staff were awesome—really friendly and always happy to help with local tips. My room was simple, clean, and had everything I needed. Not fancy, but super comfortable and totally fits the surf-town vibe. If you're into surfing, relaxing, and meeting cool people, this place is a winner. Would definitely stay again.

A magical place, easily accessible from Quito or Tulcán. There are various food options, it's very safe to walk around, and there's a beach perfect for surf lovers. There are cafes like Chocolata and Secret Garden, offering a wide variety of treats. I would definitely return.

Mompiche boasts one of Ecuador's best beaches.

Mompiche boasts one of Ecuador's best beaches. The town itself is very peaceful and clean, offering a variety of restaurants and cafes. Overall, it has a pleasant and safe atmosphere. You can rent a boat to explore the mangroves of Portete Island, which also features a beautiful beach.

We enjoyed our stay here. It is a very relaxed atmosphere and great place to socialise. Shared bathrooms are located on the ground floor whereas bedrooms/tents are on the first floor where there is a great spacious area to relax on hammocks/bean bags. Showers are covered outside and have hot water and the kitchen is well equipped. There isn't loads to do in Mompiche but we loved the quiet fishing vibe and to have some time to relax. Martin the owner is friendly and relaxed and has two adorable dogs!

We stayed at Raices Mompiche three nights in the end of December. The room was big and there would have been space for two more people. The outdoor area of the hostel was lovely decorated and the kitchen was well equipped. We liked a lot that the hostel had some environmentally friendly rules for instance avoid using plastics or at least to separate waste. It was nice that breakfast was offered.

Comfortable room(s), with kitchen (could use somewhat more utensils) and fridge. Location seems at first a bit far from the centre of the village, but turns out to be just 300 meters away - a guarantee for an undisturbed night's rest away from loud weekend parties in Mompiche.

What a gem in Mompiche! Beautiful location, very friendly staff. My husband and I are vegan and the chef/owner was very accommodating to our dietary requirements at short notice - very lucky for us to find such delicious vegan food in Ecuador!

Best Hostel to stay in Mompiche, the owners are really nice, always good vibes and everything clean. Nice garden with hammocks and some partying on the weekend. Great location really close to La Punta and restaurants etc.
