Breakfast was amazing, great selection and good quality. The best part was the staff and I would like to specifically mention the following employees who went above and beyond to make us comfortable and happy: First Nada Ahmed, Guest relation, she worked with a smile and tried to ensure that we are having a great time, Also, A. Aziz Hashem, Restaurant Manager, great service, above and beyond, the same goes to Ibrahim and Ehab breakfast servers who were very attentive to our needs. Thank you all for a very very pleasant stay and for the exceptional service you provided and attention to detail. Lilian

Was the best surprise in our trip to Egypt. Marsa Matruh has two of the best beaches we ever saw in our lives: Cleopatra and Agiba. For sure we will be back. We loved also the Museum of Marsa Matruh. There is a McDonald's just in front of the beach, so you can eat your "big mac" or an ice cream with an amazing view!!! The people of the city are not very used to meet strangers in my opinion, it seems that differently of Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada, Marsa Matruh is more focused for Egyptian tourism instead of foreigners, so not everybody speaks English there. Prices are cheaper than in other cities of Egypt. We had a taxi driver that became our friend even we only could talk using Google Translate. Very warm personality and we booked him to guide us in all the beaches in a day trip. We can't wait to return to those amazingly beautiful and crystal clear beaches!!!

don't go to Matruh in peak season( July & August) too many people are in the streets & on the beaches, choose remote suburban location outside main city if you are a foreigner or Non Muslim women as culture & religion are playing against you if you want to take a dip in the sea wearing a one- piece swimsuit, the city is blessed with splendid nature and is cheap,

I almost feel guilty raving about this place because even though Egyptians know about it and have been coming for decades, there are relatively few foreign tourists. This has allowed Marsa Matruh to retain its unique cultural authenticity, with its delightful Bedouin hospitality and scrupulously honest people. I hope it won't be invaded soon by too many foreign tourists. Avoid coming in July and August. The best months are May, early June, September and October. It's simply paradise.

The sea is the best along north coast however beaches and the provided service are not as good
If you care about the quality of stay you need to visit private beaches yet expect not to be satisfyingly served
Water facilities are not the best too
If you like local markets you will like the city if not i don't recommend as it's too crowded in high seasons

Marsa Matrouh city presents a compelling alternative to the North Coast due to its affordability and the abundance of beautiful, pristine beaches. In addition, there is a wide range of activities to enjoy and delectable cuisine to savor. I highly recommend considering Matrouh, particularly for families seeking an enjoyable vacation destination.
Hidden gem with amazing beach ( the best ever) and kind of echolodge style stay . Enjoy freedem with full access to the beach and pool just steps from your room. Beach , pool & restaurant are all centered around your room. Staff are very helpfull , friendly and always around you when needed , they deserve 5 stars. If you need to escape from city noise this will be your place considering Obayed is somehow located 20 mins after Matrough.
It provides easy access roads to best attractions in Matrouh "Cleopatra & Ageeba " .
The hotel is located around cleopatra beach. Nice view and comfort room. You can go directly to the beach behind the hotel after breakfast. The manager and the staff are all very nice. We arrived late at 20:30 that day but they still help us with our luggages and provided with us great dinner. Will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.
