RK Hotel El Cabo is just 558 feet from the beach and volcanic rock pools in the fishing village of Puerto de las Nieves. As for the surroundings: Natural swimming pools close by, proximity of the sea and the center, a nice starting point to travel around and explore the island, cosy cafes and good restaurants in the harbour. As for the hotel: a cosy roof terrace (!), very friendly staff, very clean, a bottle of water as a welcome (as water on the island is not drinkable). All in all, I cannot but recommend.
Hotel & Spa Cordial Roca Negra in Agaete has sea views and offers a swimming pool and a well-equipped spa. The rooms have air conditioning. All of its stylish rooms have a seating area and a safe. The hotel facilities were great, the reception staff were particularly helpful and knowledgable about the local area. The hotel was quiet with a laid back atmosphere, whilst still being very clean and organised. The room was large with a view over the pool and the sea. The balcony has a clothes drying rack for swimwear. Breakfast was a buffet with breads, pastries, cooked breakfast, fruit and cold meats so there was plenty choice. The pool was a lovely temperature and the nearby sea pools were fun. It’s a fairly short walk along the lit beach and cliff path to Puerto de las Nieves. The restaurants there had good seafood, coffee and beer but there is a limited number. The Spar shop is very well stocked.
In the picturesque town of Agaete, this hotel has a subtle nautical theme and a fantastic spa to enjoy. Head down to the nearby beach for breath-taking scenery and a swim in the Atlantic Ocean. Close to port and fish restaurants. Free closed car park. Delicious buffet breakfast. Spacious clean rooms
With sea views, Harizan is located in Agaete and has free WiFi. Each unit offers a fully equipped kitchen, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a living room with a sofa, a private bathroom and a... Let me begin by saying I travel a LOT, and have stayed in many many places. This apartment was the best I have EVER experienced. It was massive, brand new, sparkling clean, and in an amazing location. Agaete was perfect. A charming small village with great restaurants and all that you could need for a quiet vacation. The best part of the place by far though was the owner, Sonia. She treated me like family the second I got there. She offered to take me to the fish market, and even brought me to her chicken coop and gave me fresh eggs. When I asked her about some local beaches, she offered to take me on a drive around the area and show me some of the smaller unknown beaches. She really was the most incredible part of an already outstanding stay. Truly, one of the best traveling experiences I've ever had.
I would say it's one of the best placed villages of the island - beaches, natural pools, mountain hikes, coffee plantations, challenging roads but also fast connection to Las Palmas, tasty and not so expensive food around the area.
Pretty little town. Virtually no shops in the centre .A few bars .Sleepy except at Carnival .It was wild! 20 minutes walk tp Puerto Nieves which is busier. Loads of fish restaurants.A large well stocked Spar at Palmita nearby or Lidl 10 minutes drive away. The valley is lovely. ideal for walking if you ccan deal with inclines. Can manage fine to travel by bus with planning and use of Global site. We went to Moya ,Firgas and Teror all lovely.People extremely helpful but speak little English.
This place is just a little paradise for those who like a quiet place away from tourist masses. Lots to do. Walking, visit of Finca producing wine and coffee. Nieves Port offering many quaint seaside restaurants. The natural pools, so you can bathe in crystalline safe waters. The port that has departures to Tenerife regularly during the day. If you want to drink and party.. not for U
Situated on the northern part of Gran Canaria, Agaete is a good place to go if you want to enjoy the nature and have more quiet holidays. I would definitely recommend renting a car and exploring the entire island. Agaete itself does not have many restaurants but there is a nearby port which does, it can be easily reached.
I was on holiday to run in the mountains and Agaete provided a great start point. I didnt use the beach or any other local facilities so am not best placed to comment on them. I dined out once which was okay but cooked local produce the other nights.
On our first day Monday after arrival (which was on Sunday) unfortunately the shop for "Bocadillos" as well as the panadería (bakery) was closed. 'We did 2 shorter hikes starting in Agaete and a longer one (7 hours) with starting point in San Pedro we can recommend (hiking guide: Rother Wanderfuehrer). The restaurants, bars we did not visit only a café. We were cooking our dinner in the nice kitchen.

Amazing view in a nice quiet area near Agaete. Great customer service. Pablo was great in meeting us and making sure we have everything we need for a comfortable stay. Fast WiFi, all you need to prepare a nice dinner and very clean house. Will definitely come back here and I highly recommend it if you want to enjoy a pleasant stay away from the crowds of Las Palmas.

It was very clean apartment, the apartment has the view to die for.. very nice! Without the car its actually nothing to do in gran canaria. But the apartment was easy to find and the owner was very helpful and also he told us things about Agaete which was helpful. We were happy about everything but the weather.
