It’s real and it’s taken care of, you feel that the owners are proud, as they should be. It’s a place to catch your breath, in an nice environment and with good food. Without bla bla.

Comfortable bed, warm room and helpful staff.

I love the balance between quality and price paid, it’s fair. The facilities are in good conditions. We have been here twice, summer and autumn; both were great. It is very close to espot and away from the crowd. Food is really good, authentic. Customer care is also really good.

An ideally situated and reasonably priced hotel to explore the area, especially recommended to hikers. There are local trails for the occasional hiker and just a short drive up beyond Tavascan there are major hiking trails up into the Pyrenees. All of the local villages have something worth seeing, so if hiking isn't your thing, the area still has its charms. In summer, the hotel has an arrangement with the local campsite so that hotel guests can use the camp's swimming pool. This is a great way to relax in the late afternoon after a hard day's slog up and down the mountains. In winter the ski station at Tavascan is not that far away. The proprietor is charming and very generous with her time. On the first night we hadn't realised that the common room formed part of the area that is closed to guests during the night and we were happily doing our thing in the communal room while our hostess was keen to get to bed. She waited patiently until midnight then politely asked when we were thinking of going up to our room and we got the hint. 😁 As it was late in the season, we were the only guests still using the common room, but I imagine that if there were more guests there, then that would be no problem for her either. I can't comment on the breakfast because we are "a coffee and a croissant" people and purchased our breakfast in a local bar. Incidentally, there are a couple of nice bars in the town and a restaurant that is like a museum.

Tavascan is absolutely beautiful. The hotel was spotlessly clean with delightful staff . Great breakfast with everything you could possibly want .
