Lovely Mum and Daughter who run the hotel. Even though they had a temporary emergency in the hotel, they upgraded us to an apartment and nothing was too much trouble.

We were traveling along Alpujaras mountains, and it was the best hotel on the way, compared to other rural hotels we spent a night. Clean and comfortable. Value for money. Very good breakfast included.

Bèrchules is a typical Alpujarra small village perched on...

Bèrchules is a typical Alpujarra small village perched on the side of a hill. There is a chemist, cashpoint, 2 shops and of course, a church. 1 or 2 cafè restaurants. Parking is fairly easy. The usual problem is mobility, steep streets which are tricky unless you have strong legs and knees! Opening hours in these small villages are "flexible" to say the least so check before you set off on an uphill trek for a meal or a shop. I find self-catering properties in this area is usually your best bet then you have a choice. This particular village boasts the curious custom of celebrating New Years Eve at the beginning of August. But you must ask the locals about that..............

Location…simple hotel we have visited many times. Warm welcome and very friendly hosts. It is under new management and is understandably different from our previous trips but we were very comfortable as usual. We were given our favourite room which was a lovely touch. The food was generally very good.

It was a great hotel, in a perfect location for hiking. We had a very comfortable stay and even had a swim in the pool, which was great after a long hike. Breakfast was outstanding. We would definitely stay again

Fantastic location with superb views of the mountains. Hotel run by a very nice couple that serves homemade meals in a cosy restaurant. Highly recommended.
