My husband and I had a wonderful time at Banana Garden. Rooms are very cozy, modern, they were cleaned daily and were equiped with everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was also very tasty, excellent coffee, freshly baked croissants, what more could you ask for? :) The staff was great, especially Sabrina, who gave us great recommendations which helped us discover the island. The hotel is small, and everything there was high quality with attention to detail. We prolonged our stay by 2 days, because we just did not want to leave. The rooftop has panorama view of the beach, which was beautiful.

Breña Baja is a good central location to stay on the island...

Breña Baja is a good central location to stay on the island of La Palma. Though the island is small, it takes quite a lot of time to visit different places due to the turning mountain roads. It is only just about 45 minutes to the viewpoint of the mirador de La Cumbrecita and about half an hour to the forest of los Tilos. Breña Baja also has a lovely beach and a spectacular view of the sea. The photos are not from Breña Baja but from the mirador de La Cumbrecita and the Los Tilos forest, as our main activity in La Palma was hiking.

Pleasant area, well located.

Pleasant area, well located. It has nice restaurants and some sights. Close to the capital so it has easy access. Roads are narrow, crooked, everywhere. There is not one stretch of straight road of more than 20 meters in the whole island, so driving can get a bit tiring.

Hiking is our thing and La Palma offers hundreds of kilometres of well signed and maintained hiking trails. The mountain regions are very steep and remote walking poles , food and water essential for solo trips. Brena Baja is more gentle and stunning all year round, though the springtime flowers are the best 🌻👀👍🏻 Los Cancajos or Santa Cruz are convenient bases for catching buses all over the island so you can do circular or linear (bus to bus) hikes.

Beautiful views of the mountains and the coast.

Beautiful views of the mountains and the coast. Lots of walks around the area short and long. The beaches were stunning and each one was different. The road can be narrow and single tracks once off the main roads a lot of the time. The one main tourist attractions Cubo de la Galga in the area was nice easy walk and not long. National Parks on the la Palam were just stunning. The main footpaths are well maintained can be steep and hard going, but well worth for the views.

Excellent location on the island for getting to all the interesting places and very close to the airport. Beach and a variety of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. I'm not sure if it gets very crowded during peak season.

Unfortunately, clouds often accumulate in this region, frequently leading to overcast skies and rain. For dining, the restaurants in Los Cancajos are recommended. A car is necessary. The sunniest area is the west coast, including Puerto Naos and Tazacorte. Our favorite activity was the guided volcano tour.

Staff are incredibly friendly and professional. Gardens are paradise on earth. A parrot, duck pond, guinea pigs and cats happily live in the grounds. A 55m salt water pool is unprecedented in a hotel. Breakfast and dinner buffet was well organised and delicious with beautiful outdoor seating. Room was spacious, fitted with a kitchen and living room. There is a mini market with essential food and toiletries.

Big hotel with all amenities suitable for discovering of the island. Of course its quite crowded but also well managed and mainatined sou you will find your space. There is plenty sunbeds and also you can park your car. There are some dining options nearby the hotel as well. breakfast is fine, especially outside.

Nice, quiet, renovated and cosy apartment close to the centre of Breña Baja, not far from beach Las Cancajos and the airport. Beautiful small veranda with nice view to the bay of Santa Cruz. Comfortable beds. WIFI well working.
