Hotel Alga is in 75,347 ft² of gardens, just 215 yards from Calella de Palafrugell Beach. It features an outdoor swimming pool and free Wi-Fi access. All of the Alga’s rooms are bright and spacious.
Located in the famously beautiful coastal town of Palafrugell, make the most of the Catalonian sunshine by the pool or in the garden. Enjoy wholesome buffet meals in the restaurant.

Great location, very calm and peaceful.
Hotel was great but not quite the Ritz - comfortable but basic room with a small balcony. As has been said by others, the facilities were slightly tired but did the job well.
Pool was great, buffet breakfast was above OK but below great.
Ten minute walk to beach, all downhill but easy steps. Spar supermarket on the way to the beach was very handy.
Parking was plentiful but on occasion had to park on the street behind hotel (free).
All in all, a nice hotel away from the noise of town/beach set in lovely grounds of its own.
Located on the beach in Calella de Palafrugell, one of the loveliest villages on the Costa Brava, this family-run hotel has panoramic views over the bay and Mediterranean Sea.

The property was absolutely beautiful! The accommodations were better than expected. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. What stood out the most is the kindness of the staff. I plan on staying again!

Calella de Palafrugell is a stunning, peaceful safe place to holiday at any time of year. Off season there isn't much in the way of entertainment which may not suit those seeking a lively nightlife.

Great area, not very touristy which we liked, lovey beaches. Coastal walk to LLafranc (& in other direction!) plenty of restaurants, couple of supermarkets. Free parking in car parks after September 16th .
Noticed a tourist bus ( Julivia) that comes into the area ( not sure of route or timings!) & believe you can also get a bus to Palamós.
You could walk to Palafrugell but we had car and used large supermarket there.

Great little village with lots of beaches in the town and a short walk around the coast in either direction that are definitely worth going to just for the walks. Great food options throughout the town - we really enjoyed La Blava and Tragamar but may others to choose from too.

Most beautiful place on the Costa Brava, with many wonderful restaurants and supermarkets with local fresh fish every day! Wonderful coastal walks, with many places to stop and enjoy the view, and a cold beer, or two!

We enjoyed walking along the sea front especially the coastal walk to Llafranc although it involves steep paths and steps. The one way circulation system is easy to drive and walk although may be difficult for persons with mobility problems. Eat at restaurants frequented by locals is my recommendation as we had a bad experience at a restaurant high up overlooking the bay. Our visit was at the end of the season and some restaurants closed from October 2nd.

Very pretty coastal town without any of the high rise buildings that mar much of the rest of the Spanish coast. Only negative was that the beaches were far too full. And hey, can someone inform the restaurant owners and cooks that being vegetarian is a thing?

This is a small boutique hotel with total of 12 rooms so it is very quiet. The room was spacious, well decorated, modern and very clean. The hotel also had a small gym area and served small but tasty breakfast. The beach is located 3 minutes walk away and the hotel itself is in the middle of Callella town.
Breakfast was superb plenty too choose from..
Location of hotel right on several small beautiful beaches. Thankful the hotel offered umbrella and sandchairs for hotel guests very appreciated 😀
