This fabulous recently opened hotel was formerly an old spanish farmhouse. Located in a nature reserve and surrounded by olive and almond trees, it overlooks the amazing Montserrat mountain range. The architecture of the old stones has been respected both inside and outside and in perfect harmony with refined modern decoration. Here you find an atmosphere of absolute tranquility and cosiness with woodstoves in different tasteful lounges. The spacious rooms have high quality bedding, natural hevea matrasses and organic cotton linen. A delicious breakfast is served with quality organic coffee, tea and a buffet with typical Catalan dishes, not to mention the fresh eggs from their own chickens. The owner Carola gives you besides professional and warm attention, good advice for places to visit or for restaurants in the area. We really loved everything and therefore decided to return and celebrate this coming new years eve at this marvelous place.

Very smart, room was huge with a great view. Dinner in restaurant was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. We were walking the GR5 our of season and didnt expect to stay in such a fancy place. Delighted with our unprompted room upgrade.

Collbato is a great base for hiking some of the quieter trails in Montserrat. We hiked to the monastery twice along different routes and got a taxi back. The village itself is very pretty and peaceful, although bear in mind that many of the restaurants may not be open if you visit mid-week outside the peak season. You can also get a bus from Collbato straight to the centre of Barcelona

The location of the property is perfect. In the heart of the old and very small town of Collbato. A great jumping off point for hiking in the area. The breakfast was hearty and the staff were very helpful. The room was clean and the pool looked lovely (didn’t try it).

The hotel room was very nice, clean, and had a lovely view. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety to choose from. The only thing missing was a kettle in the room, which would have made the stay even better.

Very nice older style hotel. Room was comfortable and we ate in the restaurant as we arrived late and the meal was quite good. They also provided free coffee and muffins as we checked out after breakfast.
