Old town and major sights likely take 2 days to see. Very very busy and over-touristed even in mid November. We took a day trip outside the city to Almodovar (excellent) and to national park for hiking - also nice to get away from crowds. Mercadona consistently were the best supermarket wherever we went. Driving and traffic relatively easy to manage.

I like so many things about Cordoba - the Mezquita, the patios, the show at the Royal Equestrian Show (outdoor version only, don't bother with the show inside), the Jewish Quarter, the Alcazar gardens, the general atmosphere of the city. Love it.

Cordoba has a lot to offer for sight seeing.
Cordoba has a lot to offer for sight seeing. It is a wonderful compact place. The Cathedral is amazing. Restaurants are great. I did learn where I would stay if I visited again. I would never stay at Hotel Maestre or recommend it.

Spotless clean rooms, swimming pool was quiet and enjoyable, staff very friendly and helpful. Less than 5 euros in taxi to Mesquita which is free between 08:30-09:30 and 13 Euros after this so spring out of bed folk and walked in one day and on another drove to Seville. Plenty small little bars around hotel for drink and food. The restaurant was okay and had dinner one night and breakfast. Parking in hotel was good compared to some of car parks I've been in Spain ie easy without thinking you'll bash your car.
excellent location , great staff , wonderful atmosphere but very noisy guests who shout all night bang doors and in the open patio , its something all over spain but i dont understand why no one tells them not to start shouting at two in the morning , that is 2 AM , ITS REALLY RIDICULOUS EVEN WITH EAR PLUGS , and its in every hotel ,
Breakfast was standout, and what a venue with the Roman ruins....so memorable. This is a very good 5 star hotel, with lots of lovely touches that make the difference.
