The room was spotless clean, the shower was amazing. We got to Casinha after a hot day of walking at the Camino de Santiago, and the room was the perfect place to recover and relax. The view from the window was incredible (the gates of Oseira Monastery).

This hotel punches way above its two star classification. It's out in the countryside a few miles west of Chantada, so you'll need transport of some kind, but it's on an elevated site with views right over to Monte Faro. The owner, Manuel, is usually on-site, and speaks good English and is very helpful. My room was large, spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean with an excellent bathroom containing a walk-in shower. I would have been perfectly happy to take my wife there on our honeymoon. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. The hotel is situated on the Camino Invierno, so you may meet some long-distance walkers. Excellent value for money.

Fantastic proper circuit spa pool with lots of jets and different pools. We had a super delux room. Well worth the extra as cam with a private garage underneath it, a larger than usual super super king bed and a large spa bath.
