Set in Écija, Domus Astigi has a shared lounge, garden, terrace, and free WiFi. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. We absolutely loved our stay at Domus Astigi and wish we had booked at least two nights instead of one. It's a spectacular place, a former mansion that has been changed just enough to be a hotel. It's all gorgeous and spacious, from the moment you enter the tiled courtyard filled with plants, to the huge bedroom and bathroom, to the several old-fashioned lounges available to use (and there is even a tiny chapel). The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is simple, a typical Spanish breakfast of toasts with jam, with good coffee or tea. Staff recommended a terrific local tapas place - Los Juncales - which we loved so much we went back twice (again, we had to use sign language and their one English menu, but loads of fun and absolutely delicious).

Really comfy beds, good mattresses. Fluffy towels. Obviously, this is the cheaper end of the market and the room was not decorated, just bare white walls. But we were very comfortable, place immaculate. Good cafeteria downstairs.

Maria met us at the house, showed us around and after she left messaged us lots of places to visit and restaurant recommendations. The house itself is beautiful, Maria and her family have made it very welcoming, full of beautiful things. There is a large garden on the ground floor, as well as a top floor sun terrace We were on a long trip of Andalucia, and needed somewhere to totally relax for a couple of days and here was the ideal place. We spent afternoons lazing in the garden, in total peace and quiet, just perfect. Lots of extras in the house, coffee, tea , shampoos etc and we were also able to do laundry Maria then helped us with transportation to our next stop, and let us stay in the house a few hours longer. We used the little grocery shop next door for our daily provisions.

Ecija came third of the 4 towns we visited in the area - Carmona was the best followed by Cordoba. However, Ecija had a unique history and was flat and level to walk round. The churches were extremely fascinating with all the different types and styles of tiling on them. Parking on the edge of town was easy and free. However, be aware of extremely expensive restaurants on the main plaza. Back street restaurants are far cheaper and better food IMO.
Nice regional museum in a lovely building. The town was happy to have us and that was heart warming and real. Not on the tourist map which was lovely as we had the place to ourselves most of the time,I wish I could say that about other towns.
It is a beautiful hotel with very comfortable beds and perfect location. It has a great breakfast including eggs, homemade bread, yogurt, fruits, cheese spreads...and fresh juice! Restaurants are walking distance. The staff is extremely helpful. Highly recommended. You can do day trips to Córdoba, Sevilla, Osuna, Granada. Écija is a lovely place to explore
We booked the hotel in Ecija as it was mid way between Seville and Cordoba, and we could reach both cities very easily. The city is quiet and nice, has a lot of churches to visit and quite a few nice places to eat, so we could go out for dinner.
A very old town with lots of churches, convents and palaces. Lovely buildings for lovers of architecture. Some buildings date back to 11th Century. Our visit coincided with their Festival of Crosses which we thoroughly enjoyed seeing. The locals are so proud of them. Locals are extremely friendly and polite.
Lovely walk around city. The museum was quite something tracing Iberian history and a number of Roman artifacts. Ecija was the center for the olive oil trade dating back to Roman times but history in the area goes back even further.
