The staff were really lovely. I have to mention Roberto in the bar/cafeteria, he looked after us so well. In the morning the cafe was really busy and he attended to us immediately and was really friendly. Its only slightly off the Camino route but the walk to the hotel through the town was lovely.

It was so touching. We had no phone to call. The landlord arrived quickly and let us check in. The next day we forgot our hiking poles and even sent them to us outside the city. We outsiders felt so warm and we will never forget it.

We stayed here while walking the Camino. The apartment is in a fantastic location overlooking a square. The apartment was spotless and spacious and our hosts have gone to great lengths to make sure it has everything to provide a comfortable stay, including bread, ham, cheese, milk and yoghurt. We also really appreciated the useful information sent to us by Cristian about the surrounding area and recommendations for restaurants.

Estella is on the route of the Camino de Santiago and packed with history. It is a shame we visited on a Sunday and Monday, when ther museums and monasteries were closed. It is a perfect town for walking everywhere.

The Hospederia Chapitel hotel, the absence of the air-conditioning that they promised on their Booking.Com booking page (during the very hot day we had with them on 12 May), and their utter lack of responsiveness about that (while we were there and since) ruined our experience of Estella.

We have been here many times and enjoy the size and the people of Estella. There are many small restaurants and places to eat. The town is walkable and the Plazas always seem to have lots of activity. The people are very nice. Spanish also Basque are the primary languages. Not everyone speaks English so brush up your skills and pull out Google translate if you need to. From about March through October/November you will find many pilgrims walking the Camino Francés with backpacks. This is a very old town with many beautiful churches and a beautiful park along the river. Bus service to Pamplona and Logroño are easy to access. Taxis are also available

Estella has a beautiful old town.

Estella has a beautiful old town. The industrial entry to the town seemed to lack promise, but once in the old town, it was wonderful. The Roman bridge was great and we had a delicious menu del dia at the Bar Alday.

Estrella is worth exploring.

Estrella is worth exploring. Lots of little shops and restaurants. A beautiful city. There is a beautiful park close to the bus station and right around the corner to the right ID the bus station is a wonderful little cafe/bar with a clean bathroom.

Very modern. Very clean. Well equipped. Very well located when you know the quick way over the bridge into Estella town. Lovely area, and on the Camino Frances heading out of town if that is your purpose. Check in worked well although I never actually saw anybody. If you're looking for hotel community then this not the place. If you're looking for a well located, clean, comfortable and functional place to stay for a night or 3 then this perfect.
