Frigiliana
Located in the countryside of Sierra Tejeda y Almijara Nature Reserve, La Posada Morisca country hotel lies 0.9 mi outside the charming village of Frigiliana, overlooking the sea, mountains and... The room was very clean and of a decent size. It had a nice balcony with good view ( balcony chairs not comfortable especially for elderly). Bathroom was a good size. Con would be the small mirror against wall, not practical for women, but understandable by window location. Towels ok. Room could use more electrical outlets. Bed was comfortable and bedding acceptable but of average quality. Location was pretty good, about 5 to ten minute drive from town. We were told after arriving that main entrance road was closed for matinance. That made it hard to find and alternate road to reach it was very narrow and rough. Property was quiet and relaxing. Hosts were helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was our only issue. Two days there was no milk for the cereal. The cereal sits out uncovered and was stale. The yogurt was in very small glasses, and was about a fourth cup in quantity. Impossible to add fruit to due to small cup. Coffee was very weak and only tepid. But everything was acceptable. Basically a continental breakfast. Nice visit!

Frigiliana
Set in Frigiliana, Haza Redonda offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy an outdoor swimming pool, a bar and a shared lounge. One of the nicest and more comfortable accommodations that I have stayed in. We really appreciated some details like the heating on in the common areas and in our room in the cold day of winter of our arrival, and the tasty and healthy breakfast, among others. We want to thank Sarah and Edward, our hosts, for their kindness, and we recommend their place 100%

B&B the lost Village el Acebuchal is located in Frigiliana and provides air-conditioned accommodations with free WiFi, as well as access to an outdoor swimming pool. Wonderful B&B in a very special spot in the mountains. Great hosts, who know the surroundings and can give a lot of advice. They are really friendly, kind and helpful. We want walking everyday. It was so beautiful and nice!
We've visited Frigiliana a good few times in the past, though not on this trip, we enjoy the mountain walks, the old town, the little shops, there are some amazing restaurants and coffee shops there, a market on Thursdays is always worth a visit. Not easy for people with trouble walking as there are steps throughout the old town which is the picturesque part. Parking is very tight this time of year, the parking hall might be your best bet, not cheap though! For people staying in Nerja, the bus up to Frigiliana is an excellent option!
It is a pretty well maintained village with lovely views of the valleys and sea. There are good restaurants eg on the Balcony and a chocolste shop. There are multiple walks starting in the village and a good information center.
A very pretty town which it is a joy to walk around and explore the largely traffic-free streets. Lots of eateries and little shops to explore as well. Visit the caves at nearby Nerja which are spectacular.
It's a very pretty, clean whitewashed town with narrow streets lined with flowers and shrubs We tended to eat in restaurants in the quieter ,upper streets where you can sit outside on terraces and enjoy the views over the town and watch the beautiful sunsets over the sea and the mountains. You can easily walk around the town and all the narrow streets have cafes, shops, restaurants etc .It is on sloping ground which means you have to climb flights of steps between levels but we (75+) didn't find this a problem. Try a great walk down the dry river gorge to Nerja and come back on the bus ,or go into the hills on the numerous trails with superb views.
Not for people with mobility problems as it is very steep with lots of steps, however, lots to see and do. I think you could stay a month, eat out a different place each evening and still not get around everywhere. Plenty of good food and the weather was very good. It has an interesting history so it's worth wandering around the back streets high up (if you go there you'll know what I mean by that), soaking in the atmosphere and admiring all the plants in pots and beautiful houses, views and the ambience. Plenty of shops, some not so obvious until you stumble across them. Good coffee to be had in the Place of 3 Cultures, and the views from there down to the coast is spectacular. Plenty of night life for drinking and eating.
Great location for the local bus and the information was there for the times. for a quiet stay it was ideal and just a bus ride to Nerja for the beach and tourist attractions. Lovelly local shops/bars/restaurants and lovelly walks around the center and area, pleasant people and friendly. Never been to this side of Spain before and was very impressed with it all.
