Villa Lucky is a semi-detached villa with a heated outdoor pool, located in Mácher. The property is 2.5 mi from Puerto del Carmen and free private parking is provided. We had an amazing stay at Villa Lucky. Perfectly clean, well located, very quiet, enough space for a big family, fully equiped kitchen... and on top of that our host Jacqui was really very nice and helpful! Highly recommended!
Macher is well placed if you want some peace and quiet but handy for visiting Puerto del Carmen & Puerto Calero as well being central for trips to the rest of the island. About a mile away is the lovely coast path between the two above resorts which are also linked by a regular boat service. There is also a lovely local tapas bar in the next village.
You definitely need a car staying here but it’s a really great base for seeing all of the island without feeling like (or even seeing) a tourist! I stayed in suite 2 and it felt so private, I had a private terrace, a great little kitchenette and sitting room area, everything I needed! The cantina in Teguise had really great Canarian food and I loved the beaches at Papagayo - I went a little later in the day when they’re less busy and you don’t always have to pay the €3 parking charge.
Just enough distance away from the main tourist area, You would need taxis to take you in -(cost approx 8euros) If you wanted to walk it is fine but along the main road Excellent supermarket Lovely local bar serving good at a fair price We would have liked to try the main restaurant in Macher but didn’t have enough time- the menu looked good and reasonable price
Although it is a quiet and mostly residential area, there are good amenities close by. The local restaurant is outstanding - the food is excellent and the owners and staff are so welcoming. There is a regular bus that goes into Puerto del Carmen, but I would advise car rental to explore the rest of the island.
We stayed in a lovely villa called villa lucky, which I couldn't recommend highly enough. Jacqui is a great host. It was like home away from home. Macher itself is quiet but it has plenty of busses that are really cheap to take you into puerto del carmen for only €1.60. The local euro supermarket is well stocked very friendly staff that will call a taxi for you when you have finished your shopping. Macher is a lovely place to stay if you are looking for the best of both worlds, peaceful but only a short drive from the bigger resorts. I will definitely go back to macher because of villa lucky.
It's a gem of a place a little off the tourist track, very quiet, close to two beautiful and quiet beaches. Great walking and cycling prom, only one stop 5 mins from airport by bus €1.40. But didn't hear the flights at all as it's a Windy island so the constant breeze fills the distant noise. Was more a residential area than a tourist hub. Lanzarotti's natural beauty and culture thankfully still outweighs the growing rather tacky envision of touristy rinky dink vibe we loathe in other parts of island.
Everything! We were after a few days of quiet retreat having never visited Lanzarote before. The location was lovely and peaceful with gorgeous sea views. The beautifully restored property is maintained at a very high standard by owner/manager Marco and his family. The small number of rooms really gives you the sense of a bespoke holiday - especially given the fountain of information Marco was always on hand to provide on his adopted home. Staying at La Finca Isolina really made our trip perfect and we will definitely be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Penas Blancas. The property was very comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen and great free WiFi. Although the owners live next door we didn't see them and the property felt very private. We really enjoyed spending time relaxing round the pool in an afternoon following our sightseeing adventures in a morning and both agreed that we would love to stay here again in future. One point to note is that you really do need to hire a car in order to make the most of what Lanzarote has to offer.
The accommodation is super well equipped and tastefully furnished. The location is great for exploring the south of the island including Timanfaya, La Geria, Papagoya as well as the resorts of Puerto del Carmen, Playa Blanca and Puerto Calero. We however prefer the more off the beaten track location of Playa Quemada, especially for seafood. That's only a ten minutes drive away. The host, Aduen is super helpful and accommodating. We are made to feel extremely welcome.
The house is perfect for 4. There are two bedrooms with two bathrooms, which is great. The fact that there are different areas in which you can spend your time at the house is good. Perfect location if you drive a car (in the middel of the island), awesome views, great pool, bbq area, friendly staff. We really enjoyed our trip to Lanzarote, and Casa Camella definetly contributed to it.
Everything perfect, the apartment is fully equipped and cleaned. In the common area there is a barbecue and a coffee machine (that definitely made the difference for our breakfasts). The place is less than 10 minutes from Puerto del Carmen and is a good starting point for many excursions in Lanzarote. Sarah is a super nice host. We only stayed 4 nights but we wish we could stay more.
Quiet peaceful location with beautiful views to the sea and to the mountains . Easy access to Puerto Calero and Puerto del Carmen - each a half hour walk or five minutes by car. Central situation from which to explore the island. Immaculately clean, well planned apartment with all the facilities of home. Very good shower and washing machine. Delightful helpful family owners.
The house is located in Mácher which is a ver good place to visit Lanzarote as is kind of in the middle of the island and in the surroundings of Arrecife. The house is big enough to live with many people without issues. Big kitchen and well equipped.
Love everything the pool, hot tube, the surroundings and how peaceful it was. It was a nice walk into puerto del carmen
