The hotel is perfectly located in a quiet area of Tarragona, a 5 minute walk from the beautiful Arrabassada beach, and a 19 minute walk from the old town with it’s plethora of tapas bars and restaurants. The beautifully restored Modernist building is surrounded by a large and luscious garden with olive and fruit trees as well as a very nice swimming pool. Excellently appointed rooms and outstanding breakfast sourced from local products. The weather was beautiful so we had our breakfast served in the garden. It’s hard to think of more idyllic circumstances. The staff were super professional, very friendly, helpful and responsive. We were extremely happy with our stay.

My stay at Hotel Pigal was great. The staff is super friendly, and the room was bigger than expected, clean, & comfortable. It had great air condition. It is walking distance to practically everything: the train station, the beach, the Roman ruins, the market, restaurants, shops, etc. It is also one block away from a convenient Laundromat “LA WASH,” (good for those of us that travel with carry-on luggage only,) where the machines accept credit cards, paper money & coins, and also provide the detergent. Just be aware that because it is so close to the train station, you might have to wait longer than expected to get a taxi to take you there. I had a hurt knee, and after waiting 20 minutes, I ended up asking the hotel to cancel the call and walking there.

Clean and bright room, with comfy beds, large wardrobe and mini fridge. Delicious breakfast and great coffee at the bar. Super nice staff and, in general, a very pleasant stay. The bus station and supermarket are nearby. And it is only 40 minutes joy walk to the beautiful old center, by the sea.
